For best results, do not mix with non-clumping cat litter. For first time use, start with an empty, clean cat litter box. Fill it with 3 to 4 inches of Fresh Step Lightweight Extreme Clumping Cat Litter. Remove clumps and solids daily and dispose in trash. Do not flush. The rest of the litter stays fresh. Add more litter to refresh your litter box each time you scoop. Maintain level of litter at 3 to 4 inches.
As a reminder, especially to pregnant women and immunosuppressed persons, cat feces can sometimes transmit a disease called toxoplasmosis. - Not much tracking....I actually switched to Cat's Pride which I found to be very little to near no tracking.

I have a cat who seems to be refusing to use the litter boxes. He is older(over 14). I clean the boxes every other day. We have tried attractants, putting a car mat down, cleaning the boxes themselves, using odor/pheromone 'destroyers', and yet he still peed on the mat. I use the Arm & Hammer clump and seal for litter. What more can I do? Should I remove a couple of the doors on the covered boxes? Should I clean the boxes daily? What can I do?
