[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When you have 3 cats you’re constantly cleaning the litter pan and refilling it. This litter is lightweight, smells good still even with 3 cats. It keeps the grains of litter not absorbed by their urine or poo. It’s nice to refill the litter pan and not break my back lifting the jug to refill the litter pan.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight like it says. Does a good job with odor control. Good for multi-cat since I have 2 cats. Does a really good job clumping the litter as well. Good size container to fill up the litter box. However, due to the Lightweight nature, there is a lot of dust when you're trying to clean out the box.

I found Fresh Step Lightweight right before the packaging and formula change, and thought I had found the best litter for my cats. When I went to the store to repurchase, the box was no longer available but instead the litter was in a plastic jug. I was pleased to find the packaging had changed, but when I added the litter to the litter box, I noticed the formula had changed immediately. The texture was different. The amount of dusting was horrible! A HUGE plume of dust rose out of the litter box, choking me. The new formula does not clump as well, leaving a wet mess behind for "let's pee on the side of this huge box" users. When scooping, more and more dust gets stirred up. Two of my cats will not use the box, probably because the dust chokes them. Also, the amount of dust turns urine into cement on the bottom and sides of the box, adding more debris in the bottom. I thought I had finally found the perfect litter, but the search continues...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] MY CAT HATED IT. DIDNT work. Very dusty and fine and made us all sneeze. There was not a lot and maybe enough for one or two changes. Packaging was weak.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was easy to pour in the litter box. Container is nice to keep litter stored, better than a box. It did help with odor, for the most part. We clean the litterbox every day. We have 2 litterboxes and 2 cats. Although, if we skipped one day of scooping the box, you would start to smell the box a little. It clumped fine, and easy to scoop and clean up. I would probably buy it, if my current brand is not in stock.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate to say it... But I wasn't all that impressed with this litter. First off the scent literally punches you in the face! Now it doesn't have that weird chemical smell that the Glade Tidy Cat Litter has, that I literally cannot stand! This is a nice Febreeze scen, just WAYYYYY too much of it. I was shocked to see others didn't mention this in their reviews so I even tried shaking up the jug, thinking maybe it wasn't mixed well... Nope, it was still just as strong and obnoxious. Now I do want to add that the litter box stays in a smaller, probably like 10 x 12, pretty enclosed space. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad in a larger more open area. The next issue is it doesn't offer nearly the same odor control as the litter we normally use, which is Cat's Pride brand. I have found it super ironic that Cat's Pride is so much cheaper than most brands and offers better odor control and clumping action. Which brings me to the next issue... As you can see from the photo, this does not have very good clumping action. Which is why I think the odor control isn't great. With our usual litter I normally cannot tell when my cat has just went number two, but with this as soon as you walk into the room you can smell his stink butt. This is also pretty dusty, but it also doesn't say low dust. One of my only issues with Cat's Pride is it does seem to track, but this tracks just as much. So yeah, when comparing this to my current litter this wasn't all that great. The only reason I'm giving it 3 stars is because it is a very fine litter, great for cats with sensitive paws. And if you like to use scented litter this one smells better than a lot of the others I've tried. However, vets usually recommend steering clear of scented litters, so just keep that in mind. The dust seems pretty good for a litter that isn't low dust. The tracking is not great, but seems normal for finer litters. The main issue is the lack of odor control and not great at clumping.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this light weight kitty litter. The container is so easy to use. The litter pours out easily. There is not a lot of dust left behind. It clumps extremely well. I use this in a Snowy Pet automatic litter box. I also use this in a litter box that needs to be hand scooped. It works great in both boxes. I would pick Fresh Step over most other brands.
