Fill litter box with at least 11/2-2 inches of Fresh Step Crystals Health Monitoring Litter. Scoop solids and stir litter daily for maximum performance. Dump and refill every 20-30 days or as needed. Do not flush. To introduce litter, place a new litter box of crystals next to your current one, OR mix crystals with your current litter for a few days before the switch. Once your cat accepts Fresh Step Crystals Health Monitoring Litter, we do not recommend continuing to mix it with other litters.

This product does not replace a health diagnosis from a licensed veterinarian, but will help monitor and detect variances in your cat's urine by indicating pH levels and showing the visible presence of blood. Me & my cats LOVE this litter! I have to admit that I first tried your "good looking" competitors version, but I have MULTIPLE cats (6 litterboxes) & their brand was just too cost prohibitive for my budget. Then I found Fresh Step health monitor which works just as well, at a much more realistic price point. My cats didn't care for your regular(non health monitoring) crystal litter as I think the large size of the crystals hurt their feet. The health monitoring crystals are very small more like the texture of sand ~ very easy on the feet for my geriatric kitty's arthritic pads. I have found though that in order to get the most out of this litter, it needs to be scooped & stirred at least 2x daily. I have 2 cats that love water(they consume more water than the others & also don't mind being in the water). They tend to pee alot more also, which has a tendency to pool & turn blue in the litterbox after about the 4th day if I don't stir regularly. I have mats under each box which cuts down on tracking. THANK YOU for creating this litter! The litter boxes used to be such an unpleasant task - I am very grateful for you!
