Rabbitfish are a fan favorite because they can be housed with just about anything. They are a peaceful fish except when housed with other types of rabbitfish. Be sure to provide an environment that has plenty of space to swim and live rock that has algae so they can graze on it. The Foxface can be considered reef safe with caution because they have been known to nip at some corals, especially when hungry or the corals are in declining condition. The Foxface will grow to be about 9" in size and full grown adults will need around 150 gallons; however, you can get away with smaller aquariums when they are juveniles.. Their bodies are a vibrant yellow while their face is white and black striping. The Foxface is found in the Western Pacific inhabiting coral rich areas of lagoons and seaward reefs. Juveniles can be found in schools while adults will be singly or in pairs.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.
