The Forktail Blenny is also known as the Lyretail Fang Blenny because of their venomous fangs they use as defense against predators. They very rarely bite humans but still use caution when handling. With minimal effort these colorful fish can be kept very happy, healthy and well fed. The reef safe Forktail Blenny generally acclimates quickly to the captive environment, though will jump if startled, so be sure to cover their aquarium. An aquarium of at least 30 gallons with a good mix of open swimming space and rockwork will make a suitable home since they only grow to be about 5". Forktails can be aggressive with similarly sized and shaped fish like dartfish and gobies. They are omnivores and require a mixed diet, including finely-chopped marine meaty foods, algae and pellets. The Forktail Blenny is bluish purple and yellow posteriorly. Their tail resembles a fork which is how they got their common name.

What type of saltwater fish can I have in a 10 gallon tank
Hi. My back moor goldfish is currently about six years old and I have grown quite attached to him. I have had him along with some other fish for half my life. But sadly he has developed a large slit on the lower half of his tail. He is not a fan tail. He has a common goldfish tail. It looks quite painful and my accounting has a similar problem. Is there anything I can do. I will be devastated if my beautiful babies die. SOS!! PLS HELP
