The Flying Fox is a great addition to your cleanup crew! They are a very efficient algae and detritus eater, which means less cleaning for you. As juveniles, both males and females look identical, but adult females will look noticeably thicker than males. Provide lots of hiding spaces to help reduce their stress especially while they are acclimating to their new environment. They should be added to aquariums with driftwood and plants to help mimic their natural habitat. Even though they love eating algae and detritus that cannot be their only food source, so provide a varied diet of algae wafers and sinking pellets.

Hi there, I'm not sure if this website applies to fish, but I don't have anyone in my area that can help. I have a gold nugget pleco and he eats veggies and driftwood all the time, has a large 55 gallon tank to himself and he has normal catfish habits-sleep during day, up at night. Anyways he was a beautiful black and gold but now his colour is fading... I looked it up and it means death (but he's eating and still very alive...). Is there anything you know about why else the colour could go?
I don't know what to feed my glass catfish we've tried shrimp pellets algae tablets in the flakes nothing seems to catch his attention so we are getting alive food next if live food doesn't work we will return him to the pet store
My new betta is coming up with silvery spots behind gill slits and underneath mouth. His water also seems to get clear algae growth rather quickly (3days) on the surface. I would love to be able to send pictures. My first betta
My goldfish has blood in his find. I searched what it could be and found a website that took me it was ammonia poisoning or something and I just needed to clean his tank. He's 8-9 years old and I got him from Mejier. I came home from school today to find him floating on his side. He let's me reach in and grab him and I noticed that his entire back side from his anal fin to tail was losing scales. He is in a 20 gallon tank with another goldfish, 2 plecos, and an albino shark. He has a filter+air
