Questions
I am having so much trouble with the new light on the fluval spec with the led 7000k. The tank has so much algae I had to cover up some of the lights including the blue lights which should not be there very disappointed
- This is not a question, but I’ll respond to it anyway. I have had the same problem with my Spec tanks. The lights are too bright and contribute to algae growth. I have mine on a timer and they are only on for a couple hours a day as a reminder for me to feed the fish.

Is this the upgraded Spec III with the 7000k LED light?
- Yes, it is. I believe the older light has been out of production for two years.

- 2.5 or 2.6 Gallons

How many gallons is this tank?
what replacements do i need for this filter?
- No, replacements are needed with this aquarium. It comes with all the filtration media you need, including a porous foam block with convenient handle, activated carbon and BioMax bio rings. The pump and filtration system are conveniently located in a separate chamber at one end of the aquarium to make cleaning and maintenance as simple as possible.

Is this powered by batteries?
- Both the pump and light have an electrical cord. Neither can be used without an electrical socket.

Do I need a heater with the Fluval Spec III Aquarium Kit? This tank will be home to one Delta Tail Male Betta.
- Yes. A 25w will do fine since Betta's should be kept between 76-80. I keep mine at 79
Helpful?
how many fish can you put in this tank?
