I bought it today and it's leaking and the cup doesn't fit properly.

I hate to leave negative reviews but I hope I get the point across that this will almost more than likely disappoint you. It’s loud, produces lots of micro bubbles, and the air hose with the valve is a joke. I very much regret purchasing this and I was so mad I didn’t even return it. Just threw it away.

I already had one in a 30 gal reef tank ..it works great .. bought this one for a 40 gallon breeder

Leaks back into tank. Cup doesn't sit properly. Took back to the store and got charged a restock fee.... 😠

Don’t waste your money One of the worst protein skimmers I’ve ever used! so many micro bubbles. That won’t go away, doesn’t change if you adjust the water level or the air intake or the flow valve.

Horrible design. First, the cup doesn't fit well on top. You either have to work it on there with force or it is too loose and water comes up where the cup is supposed to sit. IF it worked, you would then risk getting skimmate in your tank because just as hard as the collection cup is to put on, it is just as tight taking it off. The second design issue is that it specifically says for ALL marine or reef tanks (up to 20 gallons) However, we have a rimless 14G cube and it does not fit properly. We tried using the different methods mentioned in the manual, to attach it, but the piece to hang it over the back glass will not allow the height of the skimmer to be adjusted to where the skimmer sits at the correct height. That means we are left with just using the weak suction cups that came with it. Those do NOT hold the weight of the skimmer and it is constantly sliding down. It has also detached from two of the suction cups and was hanging crooked in the water. This would have been a problem...except as I mentioned earlier, it doesn't work anyway! So there was not skimmate to spill into the tank. Third, the skimmer does not skim at all, we have tried multiple ways of tuning it with the water level regulator valve and even the air valve. This is by far the worst skimmer I have ever purchased. We are not new reefers either, we have been in the hobby for nearly seven years and have multiple reef tanks. We have never had an issue like this with a protein skimmer before. We are out the money we spent on something we won't use and we still have to find another protein skimmer. Very disappointed.

I’ve been attempting to use this in my 13.5 Evo for a few months now and I’ve only ever had it skim properly for a day. It needs the water level of the tank to be perfect or else the collection cup fills with clean water/bubbles. I’m running more advanced filtration in the 2nd chamber which requires me to have a higher water level rendering this skimmer useless. This skimmer needs better water level adjustment.
