A light is a light

It's a light with bells and whistles. I was up sold on this and all I wanted was a regular light. Not an app based whatever, not something that makes you feel like you wasted money or are stupid for not using everything single feature. It does the job but would have gotten 3 stars if you could simply turn it on without a freaking app!

No, I do not recommend this product.

Beyond amazing. Very high output vs my old led light. The app features are perfect for setting everything from a natural sunrise to thunderstorms. The fish's color pop like you can't imagine in my 20G long tank.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Go Fluval !

Can’t go wrong with anything from Fluval. The light is pretty good, using the app takes time to get use to. One thing for certain, these lights are not made for anything over 50 gallons or deep tanks over 20”. Even with the 35 watt, it was too dim for my 55 gallon tank. I ended up adding a second light but that can be expensive. (Shipping is horrible with OnTrac just fyi)

Yes, I recommend this product.

Had High Hopes

I was using an ONF Flat Nano light on my 11g bookshelf tank. The light itself was great, but a little small in comparison to the tank. I purchased the Aquasky so that the outer ends of my tank would get more light. The light itself casts a very yellow hue no matter how you modify the settings. I played around with the color temperatures on the app for a whole day & couldn’t get rid of the yellow tones. I did some research online and saw that others have also complained about this. I prefer a clean white light to make my aquascape pop. I used the Aquasky for a few days hoping that I might get used to it, but I couldn’t. I returned it & went back to my ONF. Another drawback to the Aquasky is that if the power goes out, the light will remain off and doesn’t resume it’s schedule until you manually turn it back on. Not good for when you’re out of town.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Would this light be good for keeping corals?

  1. Not at all. It is not near enough light to keep it any coral alive.

Will this light work with fluval flex 9 gal if I want the lid on it?

  1. No

I’m getting a 36x18 and was wondering which size is going to work for my tank? The pet store guy confused me

  1. You'll need to measure the tank from the inside rim that the lid will be sitting on. If you're tank have a center beam? I love my floral lighting.

Does this light have lights on in the night

  1. That’s completely up to you. I have mine set on a simulated day and it does go completely after one point in the night. So to answer your question, no it does not have lights on at night should you choose not to.

I have a fluval flex tank 32.5 its only 8 months old and the light has develop water in side and stop working the model number is 14549 in measures 29.5 inches witch light bar do I need to replace it

  1. According to the literature the light you have is 21 watt. The Aquasky offers here are for 18/27 watt. While either will probably work you might consider using google for the UPC = 015561145497 to get a direct replacement.

Can these lights be linked together

  1. I dont believe do. They are each individual on the fluval app. I have 2 and I just set the red blue and green to the time frame I wanted along with sunrise, sunset and night. Then if you want to have a second light you have to do the same thing. It might be possible for you export the saved program from the first on to the second one but im not sure if that will work.

I know next to nothing about aquariums, but I want to get my dad this light for Christmas, and just want to know what the difference is between the different wattage options, aside from wattage. He has a 55 gallon rectangular tank

  1. Best to contact the manufacturer or maybe check YouTube  However having said that we also have a 55 gallon tank and have one of these light systems and absolutely love it, easy set app controlled  Beautiful sunrise sunset modes Just be sure to check the length measurements of the aquarium that your dad has to be sure it fits correctly on the top edges of the glass sides Hope this helps you, good luck

Can this integrate with Alexa echo?

  1. Only if plugged into something that does..I use some of these on smart plugs and that works

We can’t get the light to turn on. It was on then it turned off. How do we get it to turn back on? The app will not work unless the light is on.

  1. There was a firmware update recently.  Make sure that it is updated.  Google how to do it if you don't know how.

Will a 36-48 fit my 40 gallon Breeder tank

  1. Yes
