Inconsistent in suction and operation.

The wiring and the suction of this product works inconsistently. The on/off button is temperamental, too. I have gone through 2 in the past 2 years. I wish the wiring was thicker and the suction worked consistently because when it DOES work, it works well.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Doesn’t work well for me

Reviews are either love it or not. I bought it and it doesn’t work well at all in my 10 gallon aquarium. I get better cleaning the traditional siphon way.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I gave it up two stars for not corroding or internally leaking like a lot of these others however the rest of it is poor. The basket that goes over the impeller clogs easy doesn't seem to pick up much just makes a lot of cloudy water. Kind of a pain to clean it's a good way to pinch your fingers sliding out that filter basket. I could see paying 10 to 20 bucks for this thing and chalk it up to cheap but these are not that cheap, they list it for 80 bucks in Petco sells them for about 50. I generally try to use a gravel siphon but times that I do not want to remove any more tank water and I fall back on one of these. Have yet to find a good one that doesn't siphon water or attached to a kitchen faucet.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Works beyond amazing. I only have a 20 gallon long so it's hard to get the filter submersed all the way but it does a great job with no issues. So happy I don't have to change water every time I clean the gravel. Haven't used it yet for water change but the adapter it comes with fits on the tubing I already have. Larger then expected but when we get a bigger tank it will work even better. Changing the filters is easy and cost of ownership is cheap in the long run. Always have liked Fluval quality and this holds up like the rest of their lineup. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a medium to large tank that wants to clean the gravel without having to dump water all the time.

Yes, I recommend this product.

I thought I found a better way to clean my 29 gal aquarium gravel. This was not a great experience, and it only made my tank cloudy, and gravel not clean. I do not recommend this product

All the small stuff gets past the filter and blown right back in the tank. I’m severely disappointed, normally Fluval is better than this. A siphon vacuum is 110% better. I really liked the idea of this but in reality it just doesn’t do good at all

No, I do not recommend this product.
