Is it safe for my 7 yr old 6" Pink kissing gourami who has the entire 50 Gal tank alone to use this Fluval Ammonia Remover at the same time as using Acurel-F water Clarifier?
Does this fit a 30 gallon? How can anyone tell what size this is? Thank you
Does this fit the Aqua Clear 70 Filter
- It didn’t really help. The ammonia reducing chemicals did more to help. I don’t have that problem anymore. And don’t even use the chemicals anymore.

If I buy the fluval ammonia packets, are these used the same way as the carbon filters?
- Hi angelamichele - These cartridges are meant to be used WITH carbon packs. They do not replace them. These cartridges pull out ammonia, and ammonia only. Hope this helps! Gabe Walsh

Is activated carbon good to use in an aquarium with surgeon fish?
I’m trying to cycle a 10 gal fish tank. I have been adding your biological booster for a month now and nothing is happening. The ammonia is holding steady at .5 ppm and I’m not seeing any nitrites. Is there a way I can test to see if there are actually live bacteria in the booster. I’ve checked everything else I can think of.

We are new to having aquariums, we really didn't realize so many things played a factor with the water. We currently have a 10 gallon tank but want to increase to a 29 gallon tank. We currently buy gallons of water but with the 29 gallon tank we really don't want to have to do that. We have well water with a salt filter. My levels from to tap was nitrate 10, nitrite 0, hardness 0, chlorine 0, alk 100, ph 7.. is my tap water safe even with the salt filter.

Trying to treat betta for Popeye otherwise healthy happy and active. Moved from five to three gallon filtered heated tanks. Feed freeze dried blood worms, daphnia and bug bites by fluval. Also am changing some if not all water every few days. Treated with kanaplex several doses no real improvement. Switzed to metroplex in water treatment as I don't know how food treatment works or how to dose started four doses two days apart and there is some improvement to the eyes. Med is miconidazole.
