Gently screw the bulb into a ceramic clamp lamp or approved incandescent fixture rated for 250 watts. Do not plug light fixture into an electrical socket until bulb is fastened firmly to fixture. (Do not overtighten bulb) Clamp or hang light fixture securely in the area of your animal's space and then turn on. Allow area to heat for 15 minutes, then measure floor temperature under the bulb to determine that it is appropriate for your chickens or other pet. Always provide a cooler area for your animals to retreat to avoid overheating. Note: To extend the life of your bulb, do not move fixture. If you need to move fixture, turn off lamp, let bulb cool then move gently.
Follow directions carefully.
