Description

The Flame Angel is a spectacular choice of an angel for smaller aquariums. Centropyge angels have forever been a favorite with hobbyists due to their smaller adult size, colorations, and hardiness. Flame Angels have a very vibrant, stark coloration of red with black vertical stripes and neon blue on their fins. Their small adult size of about 4" allows hobbyists to have that angel personality in a 50-gallon tank. Like any other dwarf angel, they can be aggressive with other small angels and similarly shaped/colored fish. They are found in clear lagoons and seaward reefs from the surge zone to 57 meters deep. Their natural range includes the tropical waters of the Pacific Ocean.

• - Add to an aquarium with ample swimming room and rockwork for grazing/hiding
• - Has spines over their gills; use caution when catching to avoid entangling the angel in a net
• - Not Reef safe: may disturb mobile and sessile invertebrates
• - For continued health, provide a varied diet of marine meaty foods, angelfish-specific foods and algae-based foods
