The Firemouth Cichlid is a beautiful pearlescent blue cichlid with bright red throat and underbelly. Males tend to be more brightly colored than females. They are a peaceful cichlid but can be territorial.

Hi! I was thinking about getting blood red parrot cichlids. And I thought here would be a good place to ask about them. So I was wondering what size tank I should use, how many I should get for starters, how much decoration and plants you would recommend, and some good food brands as well as foods I should feed them. My last question is the durations that I should perform water changes. Thank you for listening!
My pet pike cichlid is not eating and is always staying in one corner of the tank. It is in a 20 gallon with 2 convict cichlids, 2 firemouth cichlids, 1 Oscar, and two plecos. My ammonia is 0, nitrate 0 and ph is 6.5. Water is a little tinted because of the driftwood.

I have bought 2 parrot cichlids about 20 days ago. One of the parrot fish is constantly hiding behind the filter. Eating well but when it comes out to swim the other parrot fish keeps pinching it and doesn't allow to it to move around in the tank. I don't understand the problem. Please suggest what to do. Also the color of the fish is bit dull as compared to other one.
i also have a female cichlid that her color is faded she looks sick but is eating fine and swimming fine she is breathing a bit heavy the heat is at 85 not sure if the digitli heat is accurate or not

I have 2 salmenese tiger fish and two smaller fish in approximately 3.5 L bowl. I bought them on 1 April. 3 act normal but one act abnormal from first day. One salmenese tiger fish doesn't move much first it stayed at bottom now it's gapping at surface and if I try to catch to check it it goes down again. It's fins are turning red or I don't know if it already was. I don't understand how to help. Parents are out town so I can't go to shop. I am not sure if all are eating food.
Currenly i have two African Cichlids, specifically tigar oscar cichlids. They are in a large tank, about 75 gallons, with a algae eating plako. They are about 5 to 6 inches long. Im curious to know if i could move my African sideneck turtle into the tank with them. She is young. But ive noticed tha she doesnt swim extremely well so i think it might be a bad idea. Thoughts?

Hi i have a small 6 parrot fish and 1 bichir in my 10 gallon aquarium this tank is just temporary i will buy a 50 gallon soon because there is no available 50 gallon right now, ok my 6 parrot fish are just fighting each other and stressed because of that and they have change color and Im so worried because i dont want my fish to die so pls i need advice and dont worry about my bichir his fine LOL.
Hi, I bought 6 platy fish and a black corydora catfish about 2 weeks ago, all seem in good health bright colours and swimming round as normal they are in a 48l tank which the pet store said was a big enough tank for them all, but one of them seems to be loosing his scales or I’m afraid he may have itch but it dosent look like it I hope you can help,thanks.
