Is chicken broth from soup cooked with onion and possibly garlic, good for my dog?
My parents were dogsitting and said they just fed my dog about 2cups of broth left over from their chicken cooked with Lipton Recipe Secrets savory herb with Garlic to my 65 pound Staffordshire terrier mix. Is this a toxic dose?
Hello again! I got some advice from PetCoach earlier today on getting my senior, finicky kitty to not be so picky about his food and it was recommended to try a Small amount of the juice /water from canned chicken in his wet food. could I try a small amount of chicken broth ... low sodium of course because he does have hi blood pressure and takes medicine for it. If this is ok and he likes it, is there any harm in this in the long term? Thanks!!
My dog has been on a homemade diet after being diagnosed with stage 3 kidney disease. I have been giving high quality lean protein with white rice & squash along with supplements-Hawthorne berry, CoQ10, ipakitine & vitamin b12. Now that I've reduced the protein even more in his meals, he doesn't seem as interested in eating as he was. Can I add chicken broth? Homemade with just dark chicken meat - no bones as I know they are high in phosphorus or will this addition be too high in protein?

The dog food we are feeding them has glocoteme (the hip stuff I am positive I spelled it wrong bare with me) and Linetos acid. One should I add a joint support along with? Both my 11 year old dogs (littermates) have had cancer at age 10 & since then, I've been feeding them 1/2 Halo Lamb & making Dog Cancer Survival Diet from that book for the other half. I eat fish & sometimes get whole fish. Can I feed the head, skin, tail, eyes (shudder), etc from fish to the dogs? Should I feed it 1) raw pureed in a Vitamix, 2) cooked in water & then pureed or 3) just the broth made from it... wondering what might be best.
I have a 5 mo. Shitzu/pikinese mix. She will not eat her too quality puppy dry food unless I mix about a tsp.of liverwurst. I adopted her from a rescue and they had mixed in chicken. How do I get her to eat the dry food with no addition of meat. Is the liverwurst ok?
