Pseudanthias anthias are brightly colored and make an exquisite display when added in a group. The female Orange Lyretail Anthias can be added in groups of at least three, but they do much better in a harem size of 6 or 9. Usually, one in the group will morph into a male, but a male Lyretail can be added for every 4 or 5 females. Lyretails are quick to take a large variety of foods and have shown themselves to be quite hardy. The females are predominately orange in color with yellow in their fins. They have a pinkish purple stripe that goes from their eye to their pectoral fins. The males are predominately red and purple in color with vibrant red and yellow in the fins. The males also have an elongated dorsal fin, which helps with identifying. They have a red stripe that goes from their eyes to their pectoral fins. The Lyretail Anthias has a maximum size of about 5" and will need a substantial amount of swimming room.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.

Hi here, I’m really worried about my fish. He has this red spot and I don’t know if it’s something to be concerned about
I bought this goldfish last week and it has had a small growth/bump on its fin since then. It has grown slightly but not dramatically. He is still active and eating well. I have been thinking that the growth is a fungus and am treating with pimafix but judging by the way it looks I am not 100% sure it really is fungal. Does this look like a fungual infection or something else?
I have 2 salmenese tiger fish and two smaller fish in approximately 3.5 L bowl. I bought them on 1 April. 3 act normal but one act abnormal from first day. One salmenese tiger fish doesn't move much first it stayed at bottom now it's gapping at surface and if I try to catch to check it it goes down again. It's fins are turning red or I don't know if it already was. I don't understand how to help. Parents are out town so I can't go to shop. I am not sure if all are eating food.
My fish is bulging is appearance and I am fairly sure is a female, the tank water is getting too cold for them though but I am working on that as fast as I can. I am worried she has dropsy or has eggs, what is going on?
I have bought 2 parrot cichlids about 20 days ago. One of the parrot fish is constantly hiding behind the filter. Eating well but when it comes out to swim the other parrot fish keeps pinching it and doesn't allow to it to move around in the tank. I don't understand the problem. Please suggest what to do. Also the color of the fish is bit dull as compared to other one.
Hi, my cosmo goldfish' scales have small bumps underneath and I do not have any pet stores/veterinary offices to help near me. Would you be able to tell me what is going on with him? I have attached photos of him to give a visual. I am unsure why the third one may show up upside down and I apologize.
Two of our freshwater fish are acting oddly in the water. We did lose a few last night, due to an ammonia spike. We noticed some pale-colored, wormlike flesh dropping from the front area (between the mouth and front fins); this black Guppy is “wobbling” around... We also have an orange Molly fish that has been staying on the bottom, not eating or moving much. Attached are pics, for your review. Can you please provide advice for these issues, we want to try our best to save them!
My Goldfish bubbles had a orange stomach I was wondering if she was pregnant if she is please tell me how to look after her and why she has a orange stomach please it's scary that she could be sick and there is two male goldfish with her
