Diffusers should be placed where the cat spends the most time. If you are considering this product for a cat peeing outside the box, you can also place the diffuser in the room where the cat is urine spraying most often.FELIWAY Diffuser should be used for at least 30 days. Most behaviors will show improvement within 7 days, including peeing outside the box and scratching furniture. Depending on the behavior, you may need to continue using the FELIWAY diffuser longer than 30 days.When choosing a plug for the FELIWAY diffuser, make sure there is nothing above the outlet that will obstruct the airflow and diffusion of the pheromone. It should not be placed under a cabinet, behind a couch, or near an open window.Diffuser heads should be replaced every 6 months.
Make sure you are using only FELIWAY Optimum diffusers with your FELIWAY Optimum vials and refills. Do not mix refills or plug-ins from other brands.

Questions
My foster cat of one week just had her kittens and now physically attacks me when I try to enter the room. Which difuser product do you suggest to bring her back to her sweet self?
- I use Feliway Optimum plug ins for my fur baby, they also make a spray that you could spray on you before you enter the room while she is adjusting to being a new foster kitty and a new mom.

My cat Dutchess attacks my other cat, Kish, a lot. They are males, 5yrs old in April, and brothers. I love both of them, but if I can't calm Dutchess I will have to give him up and every time I think of this, my heart breaks. Will Feliway Optimum help?
- Are they both fixed? If they aren't that's usually the issue. One is being aggressive over territory. It can get rather brutal. Make sure both are fixed. This could be caused by many things...feeding...etc...You can use these diffusers..they have calming collars, treats etc. So many things. Also try watching some videos on how to build up the confidence of the less aggressive kitty. See Jackson Galaxy on YouTube. He's helped me over and over with different kitty issues.

My cat meows a lot driving my boyfriend insane. Will this work on a cat that meows all the time. She is on meds for thyroid
- Some cats are just vocal. I've used this for almost 2 years (Multi-cat version) and I can't say it's changed meowing habits. Meowing is usually a sign that they want attention. Maybe tell the boyfriend to play with your cat more or bond with it. If a cat feels ignored it may meow more....like a child does...not meowing but being more vocal.

I could really use something like this in my apt. My cat, (Chicken), is messing up drywall corners and window sills. Does this or anything similar work?
- For me, it worked. I plugged it in the room where my cat, Gerald, loves to hang out. He stopped scratching, spraying and bothering (bullying) or other cat, Smith.
