Diffusers should be placed where the cat spends the most time. If you are considering this product for a cat peeing outside the box, you can also place the diffuser in the room where the cat is urine spraying most often.FELIWAY Diffuser should be used for at least 30 days. Most behaviors will show improvement within 7 days, including peeing outside the box and scratching furniture. Depending on the behavior, you may need to continue using the FELIWAY diffuser longer than 30 days.When choosing a plug for the FELIWAY diffuser, make sure there is nothing above the outlet that will obstruct the airflow and diffusion of the pheromone. It should not be placed under a cabinet, behind a couch, or near an open window.Diffuser heads should be replaced every 6 months.

I bought this around 3 to 4 days ago and it seems my cat it’s calming I haven’t seen him sprayed around since getting it and he seems to be more calm and relaxed than before

Complete waste of money and 0 results. I've given it some time because they say it can take time to show an effect. She's actually more anxious and agitated than before. I live in a very small apartment so I know it's covering enough space.

I recently adopted a very shy cat from the shelter and after being extremely anxious and fearful for a month, I tried a few things to help her get her out of her shell. This was by far the best solution. Everyday, she started unraveling and slowly became so much more comfortable at home and around me. And the best part is that, I didn't even need to use it after 2 weeks. I've now unplugged it and I'm saving the rest for when I might need it in the future, and she's now a vocal cuddly cat after over a month of being completely afraid of me and everything in my surroundings.

I bought the diffuser approximately 1 month ago and the cats are still fighting. I have 2 senior Siamese cats, 1 14yrs old and 1 10 yrs old. My oldest l have had for approximately 12 years and appears to be jealous of my new 10 yr cat. I have seen some improvement in their behavior but hope they will really get to be friends, or at least learn to tolerate each other. I bought 4 diffusers so l could place them in as many rooms as possible. That is recently, so l will need more time to see how effective it is.

I have 4 cats and some aggression issues going on. This didn't improve anything and one if the 4 diffusers was faulty as the bottle was still 1/2 full after 60 days. Maybe it will work for your feline friends, but it didn't help mine.

I use Feliway Optimum plug ins for my fur baby, they also make a spray that you could spray on you before you enter the room while she is adjusting to being a new foster kitty and a new mom.

My cat Dutchess attacks my other cat, Kish, a lot. They are males, 5yrs old in April, and brothers. I love both of them, but if I can't calm Dutchess I will have to give him up and every time I think of this, my heart breaks. Will Feliway Optimum help?

Are they both fixed? If they aren't that's usually the issue. One is being aggressive over territory. It can get rather brutal. Make sure both are fixed. This could be caused by many things...feeding...etc...You can use these diffusers..they have calming collars, treats etc. So many things. Also try watching some videos on how to build up the confidence of the less aggressive kitty. See Jackson Galaxy on YouTube. He's helped me over and over with different kitty issues.

Some cats are just vocal. I've used this for almost 2 years (Multi-cat version) and I can't say it's changed meowing habits. Meowing is usually a sign that they want attention. Maybe tell the boyfriend to play with your cat more or bond with it. If a cat feels ignored it may meow more....like a child does...not meowing but being more vocal.

For me, it worked. I plugged it in the room where my cat, Gerald, loves to hang out. He stopped scratching, spraying and bothering (bullying) or other cat, Smith.
