Felimazole tablets are given by mouth. Methimazole, the active ingredient, is very bitter. Felimazole comes as a coated tablet for ease of administration. Do not break or crush the tablet. Always follow the dosage instructions provided by your veterinarian. If you have difficulty giving the medication, contact your veterinarian. Wash hands with soap and water after giving the medication. Blood levels of thyroid hormone will be checked by your veterinarian at regular intervals, and the dose increased or decreased as needed. The lowest effective dose should be used. This medication should only be given to the pet for whom it was prescribed.

My 17 yr old cat has been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism. she was started on Methimazole chew treats and now refuses to eat them. I switched to the twist a dose ear Methimazole but if I give that to her daily like the vet suggested, all she does is sleep day and night. It seems to knock her out right after I apply it to her ear. then she starts vomiting her food. I am beginning to think we would be better off going with the radioactive iodine thing. what do you think?
HI, My 13yr old female cat is on Transdermal Methimazole, 5mg, 2x day, by syringe. However, my cat won't let me near her to apply this to her ear!!! I now have broken the trust

17 yr, 11.8 lb, cat has kidney dysfnct. On 1/24 she showed symptoms of inner ear prob or vestibular. My vet prescribed Cerenia but it can only be given 1x in 24 hrs and it wears off at about 12 hrs. So, vet added half a tab of meclizine to her regimen, but it seems like it makes her restless(?) Gets up and moves from sleeping place to place every 30m or so. Is it ok to mix the 2 drugs? Where can I look for effects of meclizine on cats. Symptoms are head tilt, falls, staggers. Appetite is fair.
My 1.5yr old queen is very aggressive and strictly against any kind of wound dressing. Since spaying is not an option, a vet prescribed human contraceptive tablets to be given to her (Levonorgestrel 0.15mg, Ethinyloestradiol 0.03mg). He said that 1 whole tablet must be given to her daily. Is this safe for my cat and is the dose prescribed by the vet appropriate?
My cat has liver disease!!! What is the dosage and the frequency for liquid milkthistle?

Best flea/ parasite pill for small dog?
Can tony take a lysine supplement with his other meds:amlodipine besylate, methimazole, tumil K potassium supplement and mirtazapine appetite stimulant? He also eats a kidney diet and I wonder if the powder lysine supplement may flavor the food and make him like it better? Thanks!!
My 6-7 lb Maltese is on 16.2 mg of phenobarbital 2x/day & 1cc of levetiracetam 3x/day for seizures, .8cc of clavamox 2x/day for a UTI, & eye drops 2x/day. Chest X-rays this week revealed a large spot/mass in/on her lung, & we will see an oncologist Mon morning for tests to figure out what the spot is. She has been choking, reverse sneezing, snorting, etc. It sounds like she’s choking on phlegm. I was wondering if I could give her guefanesin to try to loosen/then the mucus, and, if so, how much.
