Farnam SimpliFly Feed Through Fly Control with LarvaStop fly growth regulator breaks the fly life cycle by preventing stable and house fly larvae from developing into mature adults. SimpliFly reduces house and stable fly populations when added to your horse's feed from early spring until cold weather hits. How it works: Diflubenzuron is the insect growth regulator/active ingredient in this feed-through fly control product. It is not absorbed by the horse's gastrointestinal tract, but it is excreted in the horse's manure where it stops the development of house and stable fly larvae. When horses are continually treated, stable and house fly larvae can't develop in the manure, so you'll see a significant reduction in the fly population. Use SimpliFly Feed-Thru Fly Control with your favorite Farnam fly spray for horses to control other insect pests like gnats, mosquitoes, and ticks! There is no single solution when it comes to fly and insect control.

  • - Reduces fly populations by 97-100%
  • - Prevents development of house and stable flies in the manure of treated horses
  • - Contains larvastop, an insect growth regulator that breaks the fly life cycle
  • - Highly palatable pellet; just add to horse's feed. Contains no organophosphates
  • - Feed throughout the season until cold weather restricts fly activity
  • - Available in 3.75 lb. (60-day supply), 10 lb. (160-day supply), 20 lb. (320-day supply), 50 lb. (800-day supply)

Experimented And It Works Great

Context: I live in the Arizona high country and have two draft horses on my property. I tried another garlic supplement last year that was supposed to make the horses taste bad to the flies - no impact. I started feeding SimpliFly in Mid march. It has been hot and very good conditions for flies, but I noticed they didn't need their masks and they only needed fly wipe once or twice a week. I ran out about a week ago as an experiment and it's September and OMG - flies, everywhere, it's nuts. My girls are miserable unless I give them a full body fly spray wipe down daily. Every day it has gotten worse and I'm ordering 20lbs today. My perception of the main benefit is that it kills fly larvae in the manure and reduces the total population of flies. It doesn't eliminate flies or keep them from bugging your horses, it just greatly reduces the number of flies you and your horses are hating. I'm starting mine on it again next year from March 1st to October or November 1st. I'm convinced - great stuff

My mare has been on this for two months and the flies have only gotten worse. There's no other livestock in the area (closest horse lives 3 miles away). My mare is picky but accepted this supplement readily which is a big positive so I'm very sad that I haven't seen any benefit.

Definitely seems to be working. I have two horses at a private barn and am using in conjunction with the Flystoppers. Started first week of April and looks like I got a handle on them!
