The Exo-Terra Sand Mat has a natural desert appearance and can be applied as a safe and hygienic substrate substitute for your reptiles. The Sand Mat allows you to create a desert-like environment with a minimum of bacterial build up. Unlike loose sand or soil, the Sand Mat cannot be accidentally ingested. The texture of the Sand Mat enables your reptile to have a firm grip on the substrate, increasing your reptile's sense of safety and comfort. will it work for a 30"w terrariam
- The biggest size is 20 gallon and the 20 gallon will be .5in short, the 20 gallon is 29.5 inches long

- Can lightly rinse or spot clean but as you wipe with more pressure it does remove the "terrain" rocks

I am setting up a new habitat for my 2 sibling gerbils. I want it to be as natural of a habitat as their ancestors in the wild live in. Which substrate would you recommend that would be as natural as they would receive in their desert environment?
Currently I am using calcium sand. It doesn’t seem to be effecting Ash at all. Should I continue to use the sand or get something else such as eco earth?

Hi there. So I am looking into getting a heat dome for my crested gecko. I know they don’t have to have a heat lam but I want him to have a UVB bulb Because it’s good for them. But I am not quite sure that type to get. Any suggestions? I was looking at petco’s tropical combo pack. He lives in a 10 g. With live plant. (I will upgrade when he is bigger) also do you know an age on him? I got him 3 months ago from petsmart. I could tell he was a male a week after I got him. (Pic from yesterday)

Rust colored algae in both of my 10 gallon tanks after switching from gravel to sand substrate. What can I do?
I have a leopard gecko and it seems that the temperature in the tank isn't getting to what it needs to be. I have a heating mat and a thermostat and i have the heating mat highest up to 93 degrees. But the air inside on the warm side is only like 79 degrees how do I fix this I know that heating mats are the best for them but it isn't making my tank warm enough. Also, I know that heat lamps aren't the best since they aren't basking animals. So what should I do to make it warmer?
Is this a good setup for Nighthawk, the first photo is the over all setup, the second one is the side view and the third is the water and calcium dishes. I use an under tank heater that stays at about 88 degrees Fahrenheit and the vines are fake. He has a warm hide and a cold hide with moss in it that’s i spray down every other day. The little box is another little hide that I can see him in. And the background is tile it paper rolls that were painted(they were left to dry for two weeks)
