My dog is a total slob. I like that this mat has a lip to contain spilled water since he seems to take half of the water bowl with him ate he's finished drinking. It obviously can't protect my whole floor, but it's helpful under the bowls. Also convenient for traveling since it folds.

The mat is pretty flimsy, but it does have stiffer sides. I thought it looks good, but my wife didn’t like that the sides were not straight.
