My dog has been sleeping continuously through out the last couple days. He continues to eat his meals and go out at the proper times. His interactions with our other dog are normal but the amount of time he spends sleeping is abnormal for him. He’s a 3 year old Boxer with a great deal of energy. Nothing else seems to be out of the blue.
Rudy often sleeps 20 hours per day. It is not a sound sleep, as he often lays quietly with his eyes open. He is a rescue dog and we've had him for 8 weeks. He seems comfortable with us and is energetic when he is awake. His poops are a little soft, so we have been adding pure pumpkin - it has helped somewhat, but not completely. Not sure if it is okay that he sleeps so much. Is he just bored? He does not "play" with toys and does not engage with us other than for some training and petting.
Why does my beagle just lay down in the middle of playing to sleep
Need help my dog isn’t peeing or eating and sleeping a lot
My dog sleeps slot is something wrong
I need your help here. I've been thinking to purchase a crate and a crate bed and crate cover for my little girl. Since she loves to nap under the table and I thought it'll be much safer and comfortable for her to sleep there from time to time. And safer from the friend's and families children from hurting her. Do you think this would be a good idea?
We bought my dog a new dog bed that’s supposed to help with his anxiety. The first night he loved it - we couldn’t get him out of it! Since that first night, he doesn’t like to sit on it anymore. He just humps it and licks it. We can put him directly in it and force him to sit, but he won’t stay long and looks uncomfortable. Should I take the bed away? Why won’t he lag on it anymore?
So my dog keeps peeing in her kennel. I have started making more frequent potty breaks and that has helped some. But she still has accidents about twice a week. So I have thought about getting her a smaller kennel. She is in a 42’’ wire kennel. She can lay in a ball in the corner of it and not take up much room. She is too tall for a smaller kennel. What should I do? Also she had had all her bloodwork done and nothing is wrong. She is 30’’ tall and 30’’ long.
This afternoon our 8-9 week puppy took a nap that has lasted through now, making it almost 6 hrs straight with a brief groggy moment of movement to try and eat/relieve himself. He ate a small amount of his food, drank a little water and rushed outside to do his business. It was shiny and while still not liquid, it was softer than normal. He then returned to sleep. He is very lethargic and has eye boogars that keep reforming. We have had him for a week and none of these symptoms are standard
Is it Ok For By 7 week old puppy Be Sleeping Almost The Whole Day Only Gets Up To Pee Or A Little Run And Playing And Back To Sleep??
My pet has torn all his beds and now sleeps on a blanket or a bedsheet. I hope that won't cause any joint problems in the long run? It seems that he is comfortable sleeping this way. Is it safe?
Now that he sleeps in bed with us like his older sisters sidon insists on trying to 'dig' the bed. When diing this in his kennel he stops once he's under the blanket. However in our bed he wont stop even when under the blankets. Advice on stopping this?
