Perfect for suporting smaller water bottles, while keeping them safe from the little nibbles of ultimite destruction. I currently only have rabbits and they don't use a small bottle which this is recommended for however it did hold the large pretty well! Id absolutely use for a smaller animal like a hamster or gerbil.

I received this product for free from the Spotted by Petco sampling program in exchange for my honest review. Since I got my mice, I've been using industrial-strength Velcro to hold their water bottle to the cage/tank sides, but there are some aspects of that I don't like, such as not easily being able to move it, and having a foreign substance I would not like my girls to chew on in the cage with them. So when @petco offered me this product, I was eager to try it out. I love the fact that this holder is designed not onto to prevent chewing, but also has a piece of metal that can be rotated and bent on the back of it to secure it to any enclosure. Mice and hamsters do best in a glass or plexiglass enclosure/tank, and I personally have my mice in a 100cm x 50cm Bucatstate enclosure. I wasn't sure if this water bottle holder would work with the lid, but I found that it can close almost completely as long as it is bent well enough. The metal of the holder is soft enough that I could just hook it over the edge and push down on the enclosure's lid to get a nice, close fit. The lid doesn't go down 100% of the way with it in there, but the tiny gap left (see photo four) doesn't concern me at all. I love that now I'll be able to move the water bottle around depending on how I decorate the cage!

I was in the midst of setting up a tank to acquire pet mice so I was really excited for this holder. I really love how these holders allow you to hook the bottle over the rim of the tank instead of requiring cage bars or a whole contraption that would take up floor space. You can also alter how it hangs to adjust the height for your animal. Only downside of this model is the white coating, which the pocket pets may chew on, but proper enrichment and cage space can limit that.
