My cats love it and the ball is surprisingly durable. It is shredded after having it for a year, but its not loosing stuffing. The inner mesh around the stuffing has kept it all intact despite the outer layer fraying. Again my cats absolutely love this scratcher and I am considering buy another for when the ball and post itself inevitably fall apart.

I bought this product for my cat named Stormy. When I told Stormy to look at what I bought for her, she was scared. So I left her alone for a few minutes to see what she was going to do. At first she walked very slowly toward the post. Then she sniffed it and started to play with the ball. Now whenever she is bored she’ll play with her post.

they like it a little, but it keeps tipping over on them when the scratch on it so I had to put the base under something else to keep it from tipping over. I believe the other one with the square base is much better, but with the carpet, they tear it apart and then it is stringy so have to constantly cut the strings from the carpet and pick up the carpet fuz so they don't swallow it.

Bought this 2 weeks ago for a 7 week old kitten. Post is still in very good shape but she has completely destroyed that ball attachement thing. giving 4 stars because if I can detach that ball it should come with somewhere where I can reorder 1 and I've looked everywhere. Can't order a new ball for this post!

I own one of these already and the ball, which is detachable, is getting pretty ragged. Are the balls available for replacement? The rest of the scratch post is in good shape.
