Too thin, hurts hand as another reviewer mentioned

The EveryYay Settin' the Pace slip lead is a no for me. One, it's too thin to get a good grip on, and it hurts your hand when new dogs pull. Second, it's so thin a 4-5 month old Belgium Malinois almost chewed through it. Third is the stopper isn't as easy to use as a spring stopper/draw string style, which comes in handy when your puppy is antsy and you need to secure/lead it away quickly. Our trainer gave us a knock off Mad Dog style (the other big box pet store), and it's nice. That lead is much thicker, you can get a better grip of the lead. The spring stopper comes in very handy because you can single handedly put it on/take it off to loosen in seconds.

No, I do not recommend this product.

We’ve been looking for this type of leash for sometime. Well, this is our daughter in Clarksville, Tennessee we wandered into your store. This type of leash was not located in your main leash/collar/harness area. It was on our way out that we noticed this product. Nine days later are miniature dachshund is.responding beautifully.

Material is a little cheaper than expected. It feels like it can snap at any moment. It does not stay on the upper part of my dogs neck, it's always sliding down.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Thin, well made slip lead. Exactly what I was looking for. Our 80lb. dog walks very well on it. He doesn’t pull when on his walk.

I am using this for an easy way to take my puppy out to potty. It is so much easier to get on her neck than a collar or harness, and is quick to remove. Highly recommend this slip leash!

Yes, I recommend this product.

This lead is great at staying put. There being 2 stoppers, this is great so it doesnt choke them and the other making sure it doesnt come to loose. The stoppers stay really well in place unless the handler moves them(not sliding around because of the dog which is a common issue with other slip leads with stoppers). Material is a good stiffness and isnt a funky feel like some other slip leads. Great for walking a growing puppy or a an adult. I use them also for competing and training my dogs. *Teal, red, and black are all the same. The confetti and reflective ones arent the same and i dont like those. the reflective one shed the reflected part everywhere and the lead was corse which wasnt the most pleasant to hold. The confetti ones arent as stiff and they didnt have a second stopper so i didnt like those.

Yes, I recommend this product.

What is the thickness of this lead please? I am searching for one close to 1/4 inch for smaller pups' necks.

  1. Hi Hueys PETS, Good day! The 3298543 EveryYay Settin' the Pace Black Training Rope Slip Lead for Dog is ¼” in diameter. There are also Youly ½” wide leads in our nylon assortment (ex: 3710163). They are very strong, but also lightweight with smaller hardware. Thanks,
