The Settin' the Pace Running Belt & Lead Set is a great, well-made product. It's thoughtfully designed in great colors for either females or males. It allows you to be hands-free while walking your dog. The pocket specifically made to dispense a roll of waste bags includes a small rubber opening so you can pull them out one at a time. There is also a water bottle holder so you and your furry friend can stay hydrated on your outings. There is a front zipper pouch for keys or your phone; however, I found it too small to fit both my iPhone 16 in its small case and my keys. There is a sturdy D ring on the belt as well. This is handy for clipping your keys onto or a small collapsible water bowl that has a clip. The reason I gave this product four stars is because it comes in one size only. The belt length is 46", and although adjustable, it is much too large for a thin person. It literally fell off of me. My husband weighs about 150 pounds and he had to make it as small as it would go to try it out. Overall, this is a great product, but I personally would like to see it in other sizes.

I have a 60 pound Belgian Malinois mix who loves to run and explore, but requires occasional reminders on lead. This leash and belt combo affords her the freedom she craves while allowing me to send corrections easily. The belt works for both my husband and myself. It’s doesn’t shift once on, feels snug and secure and even when our dog pulls it stays in place. I love that it’s hands free so that I can focus on her rather than fidgeting with a leash constantly. I also love how the leash has some absorption ability for any sudden yanks or pulls. It’s also easy to throw in the car for trips to the dog beach or parks. Highly recommend for anyone looking for alternatives to regular leashes and wants the ability to still maintain control of their pet.

Definitely better suited for running vs jogging or walking. The bungee lead part is awkwardly short for our smallish medium guy. He barely had room to step aside and sniff. But I guess if you’re sprinting with your buddy this would keep em close! The colors are cute and bright.

This is a quality hands-free belt for walking (or running) the dog. The material feels well made and the pockets for treats and poop bags are practical. This was my first time using a hands-free belt for dog walking and I appreciated the convenience more than I expected (I still like having a hand on the leash, but it's nice having the back-up option for when you want to, say, tie a poop bag or snap a picture.) My main complaint is that the sizing was a little difficult - I had to tighten it up a lot and the mechanism to do ended up being kind of bulky. However, it was still comfortable enough to wear. For someone with a dog that is more leash-trained and enjoys running or walking at a decently matched pace, this is a good product.

I can't seem to adjust the belt part tight enough to stay snug on my waist. I do like the material and all the features. It would be best for a dog that runs well and right next to you on a leash; I don't think it would work well for a dog that likes to wander.

Full disclosure, I am not a runner, but I do love a hands free opportunity when handling my doggo. This belt has a sturdy design and quantity materials. Let me start with the fact that it fit comfortably! As you can see in the photo I am a thicker gal, 43" at my waist. The buckle is adjustable and clicks in solid, very secure. The belt comes with an attached lead. The quality is outstanding, the traffic handle is padded for comfort and at a comfortable placement level . Both ends of the lead have strong and thick swivel clasp slide hooks. This design gave me piece of mind, my dog is secure when clipped onto this lead. The inside of the belt is padded with a mesh top liner. The liner provides comfort and is breathable. The color is a beautiful vibrant teal with a yellow reflective strip. Now let's talk about the features on the actual belt. There is D ring attached to one end. I attached my own carabiner and it worked beautifully to attach, collapsible water bowl, flashlight, mace, keys etc. There is a compartment for waste bags. The dispenser is very easy to feed, the bags are easy to retrieve . Now, here is where a half star was lost. For me, the water bottle holder was awkward. In the photo, that is a 16oz bottle, even with the attached cord intended to aid in securing the bottle, the cup was not deep enough and the bottle wanted to fall out. For me, the water holder served better as pouch to store training treats. The front zipper pouch was also a slight disappointment. In the photo, the pouch is holding my Samsung Galaxy S10E, but once my phone is entered, there is little room left. Perhaps if you are truly a runner and need minimal on a run, the pouch would serve you well. But for me, I use for festivals, farmers market, the beach, trip to dog park, therefore I appreciate added space for more than just I.D. Overall I was very impressed with this belt. My dog received it well. Finnegan is a 43 pounds, Beagle/American Bulldog. He is a strong dog and sometimes wants to track. This lead held him secure and kept him in stride.
