Kill my cat
I bought this scratcher a few months ago and my cat loved it until it started to come apart in one spot and she swallowed one of the strings. It wrapped around her tongue on one end and on the other it went in to her small intestine. The vet did emergency surgery and she did not survive the recovery! It cut up her insides bad and killed her. DO NOT BUY THIS SCRATCHER!! If you have this scratcher already, throw it away as soon as you see it coming apart.

Worst scratching post! Save your money!
I bought this a few months ago and I wish I wouldn’t have taken the tag off and kept the receipt. This was such a waste of money! My cat wants to use it but every time he does it falls over on him. I don’t have money for another one so it’s very disappointing! Save your money and buy something with a stronger base. I should have thought about that when buying it but I let me kids pick it out and didn’t think about it.

Cute piece!
This is a very cute scratching post, and it's one of the largest versions in the "small" post category (the ones that are not quite tall enough for an adult cat to fully stretch out). I was pleasantly surprised that it was mostly assembled when I opened the box (the last one I bought had a few more places to screw together - this one only needed to have the base attached). I also really like the quality and feel of the green velvet on the post base. I've heard my cat use it once so far, so time will tell if this one's a true keeper, but it's certainly a nice visual option.

Enjoyable Product
My cat really enjoys this product, I have it in the bedroom so she access to scratch something instead of the side of the mattress and she goes to it as soon as she comes into the room every time. I was worried about it flaking off as she scratches but no mess.

Cute but impractical
This scratching post is super cute, I love the blue color for the base and the cactus shape is really fun. It seems well made, and I haven't noticed issues with the base not being heavy enough. All that being said, my cats are just not interested. I've had it for like two weeks now and I've seen them use it like three times. They much prefer the furniture next to it.I wish it were taller, I think it's just too short for them to really properly use it.

Do they sell replacement sisal part only? My cat has destroyed this! Shredding and come apart every use. I have cut the long loose ends so she doesn't eat them. Her favorite scratcher, but I need a replacement sisal post. Where do I get it?

How can I stop it from tipping over? We bought this when we brought home our 8 week old kitten and immediately he loved climbing all over it, but now he’s 12 weeks old and it tips over every time he goes to scratch it.
- Secure the base to a square piece of plywood (bolts or screws). I screwed it to a wooden deck in my catio, and it is Purrfect now.
