It's easy to assemble. Quite safe. The height adjustable pillow makes it easy for even the small puppies to look over the edge

Got first box home, opened it to find the item was previously used, but sold as new. Someone else's dog's hair all over it. Tried to exchange at same store (Dartmouth, MA) only to find the other one on the shelf was also already opened and had pet hair on it. Went to store in Seekonk, MA...box on shelf (again, being sold as new) showed obvious signs of having been opened. Looked inside: muddy paw prints all over the fleece cushion and dog hairs clinging to corners. Clerk horrified and apologetic about the condition, but had no solution to offer. I understand sometimes things need to be returned, but to put those items back on shelf without checking them and selling them as new at full price? Does it work well? Who knows? I'm not risking my dog's health with an obviously used, never even cleaned item. Gave up on this and found a store and brand that actually sells new, clean product. Do better, PETCO. Shameful.

I’m giving this items two stars because the box arrived torn. I could tell it was a return which is fine, but there was loads of hair in the bed and black marks on the white cushion cover. I will not put my dog in this car seat. The store who accepted the return should have opened the box before placing it back on the shelf.

The car seat is a nice size for my 10 lb dog. The platform on the bottom is a bit flimsy if your dog is larger. The cover for the platform was very thin, so I put a cushy throw in the bed. The unit doesn't fold up for storage, not a plus.

I bought this at the local Petco store. I followed the directions and it does not connect to the car's seat belt and is recommended only for backseat use. The tether that attaches to the dog's harness is very short. My 15 pound cavapoo seems cramped in the seat. I waited too long to be able to return it :(

Just a depicted, makes us feel better about our little guy while driving

We got this for our Papillon. Although he's only 8 lbs., he has long legs, so we found we needed a bigger carrier so he could lie down properly. This carrier is really sturdy and we used the option of boosting it, so he can see out the window, which he loves. The tether inside is long enough to allow him to move around, but he can still jump out, which I think he's learning not to do as it's uncomfortable. The carrier attaches very easily by threading the seatbelt through a loop at the back.

love this!!! my dog likes this if it’s in the backseat in the middle so she can see the road in front but still also look out the windows. worth every penny & will not drive with my dog without this car seat. me & my boyfriend bought two for each of our cars so we didn’t have to keep switching cars
