I have had my gate almost a year, the plastic parts do break…. Simple enough however there are no replacement parts! There are other designs with spare parts online all over… save your money and buy one of those so you can get parts for! I will not buy another one of these.

I have a small Shiba Inu. She absolutely escaped from under this thing many times. I repositioned it all the way to the floor and she still escaped. I had a friends 4 month old American bully and she added pressure on the gate now the hinge broke off as it’s weak and made of plastic. The hinges should’ve been metal. Not worth nearly 90 dollars. Buy it on Amazon if you have to and if you have well behaved pets, but note it’s not durable and is meant for a teacup chihuahua.

Seems sturdy, retractable function is very useful. Has helped tremendously in preventing our two dogs from Escaping. Has also been helpful when answering the door or receiving packages. It’s a more secure way of blocking the door. Other people also feel more secure.

Very happy with the quality of this gate. I was a bit intimidated about installation because of the amount of pieces and drilling involved but the included templates really simplified this process and were incredibly helpful. We installed at the bottom of our stairs. We have two senior boxer dogs who we don't want using the stairs without supervision and a mischievous boxer puppy that we also don't want to be left to her own devices unsupervised. The gate can be a little stiff but it certainly beats the tension gate we were stepping over and constantly knocking over and stubbing our toes on going up and down the stairs. Very pleased with this gate and the overal quality and ease of installation.

I originally chose this retractable gate to place in the alcove leading to the master suite to keep all the animals out. I was so excited knowing the gate could be hidden when open. What I wasn’t thinking about was that it would have to be screwed in low to the ground to be effective for what we wanted and we have 6 inch marble baseboard. Because the materials the gate is made of seem so sturdy and high quality, I didn’t want to return it. So I found a purpose—it makes a fantastic kitten gate! We foster dozens of tiny kittens each year and they all start out in a designated restroom. This has been an absolutely fantastic barrier to keep the kittens in their area while still being able to monitor them, as you can easily see through it. I was a bit worried they’d try to climb it or be able to sneak under, but so far they haven’t. Laying out all the parts, I was a little intimidated to install this retractable gate. But the templates made installation a breeze—I set them up, checked my work and drilled exactly when the templates marked and the fit was perfect! The flush mount fit ensures minimal gaps and overhang and it is perfectly straight across the floor. Like I mentioned, the quality exceeded my expectations, and I feel this is a better fit in a door frame. There are spacers provided if you want to install the gate through a wooden baseboard—it is possible and the fit should not be comprised if installed correctly. The retractable mechanism works perfectly and it does take a little might to pull the gate across to the closures, but this only makes it sturdier. I would recommend this for small to medium animals that don’t have a history of destructive behavior. It’s a great see-through barrier to keep your pets where you want and keep them out of where they shouldn’t be.

This gate worked well keeping my dogs out of a specific area when guests are over. It was simple to set up. The gate itself can be a little stiff but it does its job. I did receive this gate as a promotion.

I love this doggy gate. It was super easy to install and had several options for placement without a bunch of extra parts and the directions were easy to follow. We have a boxer/great dane and we placed this in the hallway so she couldn't get to the cat food. It held up to her nose and paws. We also have a toddler and it works beautifully on her too lol.

This gate is great and easy to use! You have to remember to lock it after you close it otherwise your pets can keep pulling it which could be dangerous. Otherwise no complaints. Easy to install and much eaiser than other gates i have tried.
