For the first three weeks the gate worked great. Then our 50 lb goldendoodle realized that he could open the gate just by pulling at the bottom of the door with his paw. So discouraging since this was not an inexpensive purchase. Would love to know if there is some sort of add-on that would prevent this.

The only reason I spent twice as much on this gate as others I wanted something slightly less than 36in in height so I could use it in a doorway and still close the door, but a bit higher than the standard 30in for my bigger dog. This one is 30in (NOT 33 as listed). Plus, my previous gate included a smaller adjustable piece that worked much better for doorways and didn’t have any issues lining it up - this design on this one seemed to make it trickier to ensure the bottom didn’t get stuck. If you’re looking for a “cool” design it’s ok, but I wouldn’t say worth the price compared to other models out there.

I used this gate because I had a retractable one in my bedroom doorway and it started to deform due to my dogs laying on top of it. This gate has been a game changer. It stops all of my dogs (including my 45lb Aussie doodle) from getting into my room or getting out. My pitbulls used to jump over every gate but they stay in with this one. I also love the design which makes it seem more modern and elegant and less like a baby gate which is what I used to have.

We got this pet gate in preparation for our puppy and it's honestly the nicest looking pet gate I've come across. The metal detail and extendable feature is great so we can move it around different doorways. It comes with everything you need to install and the instructions very easy to follow.

First off, love the design of the dog gate! It prevents my dog from entering my cat’s litter box area. It looks nice and has a trendy/modern design that makes it not look like a jail cell. The only issue I had with it is how the instructions were written. Overall no problems, but as you can see in my photo, there is a zip tie near the handle that shouldn’t have been removed prior to install. I know the paper has it written in bold font, but it wasn’t glaringly obvious for my eyes to see that. I cut off that zip tie when I was checking all the pieces and then noticed that detail on the directions paper. I wish they had a bright sticker attached to that zip tie that says “do not remove before installing.” Such a simple thing they could add! Anyway luckily, I have some zip ties in my garage so I was able to put it back on and continue with install. Overall, I’m happy with it! Time will tell how well the lock and handle mechanism hold up to daily wear.

Look, my girl is the best girl...and still sometimes, when there's something really tempting in the trash, she will get into it while I'm at work. I don't blame her, meat scraps are exciting! However, I don't want her to get a hold of anything dangerous and I definitely don't want my trash strewn about my apartment, so I put up this stylish little gate and now my laundry area has a distinct separation from the kitchen and my trash is protected! I really love the auto-close feature, and it's super cute, which is difficult to say about a baby gate haha! But it is! It's modern and sleek without being sterile - it has character! Although I didn't need them for this doorway, I love that it came with wall plates to protect your walls AND create a more secure gate that can't be pushed over. My girl is very respectful of physical boundaries like gates, so I know she won't be pushing on this, but it's great that it includes that hardware!

I’m really impressed with the quality and style of this walk through gate. I’ve been looking for something like this to keep my little dog out of a few areas in my house but my cat can still easily get over this gate and I am able to walk through it without climbing over a regular gate. A few of my favorite features are: It’s really easy to install and move I love that it has an auto shut/lock feature The gate is easy to open and close It’s very neutral and not ugly like most similar gates It’s not permanent which is nice because I want this for a temporary solution in one area and will install it permanently to keep my dog out of our upstairs when we aren’t home. If you are looking for a great quality gate that you can walk through this is a great option and very high quality.

Easy to put together, read instructions first though! The gate works well and didn't need to use the extender since I used it on our bedroom door. It holds open when you push it back (you hear a little click noise) and holds open both ways. The only issue I have is when I want to close it fully, you either have to use the handle/lock or just let it close on its own, which makes a loud noise. It has been helpful keeping the fur out of the room during shedding season.
