My kitten likes to scratch my wooden chair, doors, and occasionally the door frames. I bought her a wooden cat scratcher with catnip and all she does is bite, sleeps, and lays on it. Do you have any recommendations on what would be a good scratching post? Sisal rope, Sisal carpet, and etc?
My cat is super active at night for a few days, she keeps scratching the sofa and running around. She is spayed. We have two scratching cardboards and a cat tree for her. We just moved to a new apartment for 3 weeks and she seems accommodating quite well for the new environment.
Will my 6 month old kitten grow out of playing in her litter box? It's so unsanitary. We got her a tower recently that she doesn't even touch, plus lots of boxes for her to play in. How can I get her to use cat tower more? Feliway doesn't seem to work.
Is this a good setup for Nighthawk, the first photo is the over all setup, the second one is the side view and the third is the water and calcium dishes. I use an under tank heater that stays at about 88 degrees Fahrenheit and the vines are fake. He has a warm hide and a cold hide with moss in it that’s i spray down every other day. The little box is another little hide that I can see him in. And the background is tile it paper rolls that were painted(they were left to dry for two weeks)
I am taking care of my gfs cat on my own for a while. Its my first night. I have a very small house and the cat is pissed and has t established a hiding space yet. What should i do?
Hey there! I've got a large Ragdoll (we think) cat that is roughly 10 years old who stopped using his litterbox for anything other than urine starting about 6 weeks ago. Always at night, when we're asleep, usually every 2-4 days, he goes on a binge poop, dropping of "presents" (ranging from hard/dry to wet/soft) on our front porch mat, my office rug, the hardwood floors along a wall, by the litterbox, on the rug by his feeder. No changes to clean litter situation or diet in over a year.
What vacs do u recommend for a 24/7 indoor cat.. are all truly needed? never exposed to outdoor cats. ty
Our 4 year old cat, newly adopted, hides and sleeps all day and only comes out to play, eat or acknowledge us after dark. Then she comes in our bed looking for attention when we are trying to sleep. Any suggestions on how to get her days and nights switched around?
So I took in a stray that is at least five years old and has rather obviously had it rough. I am keeping him segregated and also set up a cat condo for him in said room, which he tends to stay in, sleeping (the condo, I mean). I bought him this nice, plush self warming bed that he is absolutely rejecting. Seriously, he'd rather sleep on bare floor than this bed. But he'll rub on it and lean against it to sleep. Why does my guy hate his bed? *note, I have provided him with soft blankets he loves.
Hello. My indoor cat (10yr, male, neutered, 13.5lbs) has had a small bump on his skin for 1+ years. Small enough I had trouble finding it to keep an eye on it. Yesterday, I noticed it has grown maybe 3x or 4x in size and is bleeding. It is behind his front shoulder blade. It is very raised, I can feel it over his fur when I pet him. I was wondering if this looks like a normal cat bump/wart, or if it is concerning enough to get it looked at in-person. Photo attached. Thank you.
We just moved to a bigger apartment and my cat is going crazy. At first he was scared of coming out from where he was hiding but it didn't take him more than a day before he started running everywhere, jumping everywhere and just keeping on the move. He's usually very lazy and scared of new places. His meowing has also gotten 10 times louder. Is it just that he's loving this new place or is it maybe something more complex?
Hello! I just adopted a caat, he's 4 years and have an allergy problem but nothing else. I suppose is nothing (as he arrive now he's probebly still adapting) but he doesn't play, or use the scratching post, or his bed... he just lays down all day not doing anything. Apart from that, he's taking prednicare tables (for the allergy) and we were told it was injection option, how that would work? Thank you so much, Marta Nores
