Terrible product

This is probably the worst product I have ever purchased anywhere in my entire life. All of the one-star reviews hit the nail on the head. Terrible quality, and does not work without drilling and mounting the support frame to the wall. Velcro on shelf pull out of the staples if you try to remove the unit. The Velcro that is applied to the window sill is non-Remi able and will damage your sill when you have to remove it. You are better off DIY’ing with a simple shelf for $5.00 rather than the $50 price. The faux fur cover is the cheapest and the fur literally pulls out with little effort. Very disappointed and doubt Petco will take it back.

I bought this for my cat that weights 6 lbs. The Petco store gave me a used one with cat hair and dirt on it. They wouldn't take it back- I had "waited too long..." they were still selling the product, and the mistake was theirs! So I got to installing it. It's so flimsy. Unless you have a wide windowsill, don't waste your time. This will require some serious modifications. If a 6-lbs cat makes it dip down, you have a terrible product.

Would give it zero stars if I could

First off, $44 for a piece of pressboard covered with a thin layer of foam is ridiculous, but decided to give it a try. The instructions when applying the adhesive/velcro say to separate the perch from the window sill so the piece of Velcro attached to the window sill has 24 hours to set. Problem is that the Velcro is so strong that this is nearly impossible - damaged my whole window sill and the staples from the Velcro attached to the perch didn’t even hold. Now I not only don’t have a perch for my cat, I have a damaged window sill to repair.

No, I do not recommend this product.

It did not sit on the windowsill as it should have, the supports had to be bent to touch the wall. The velcro came unstapled from the perch as we were installing, so it is not very stable. Not worth $50!

Pros: easy assembly. Cons: pads were glued in wrong place. Velcro was very thin and stapled to board which rips right out if you decide to move the bed. Metal supports are like springs, so the bed sags with any cat over 10 pounds. I ended up modifying the whole thing, but I could have had a better product just by buying parts at a hardware store.

Just bought this. Following the installation instructions, I attempted to remove the perch after the initial sticking of the adhesive. Two things happened: the hook and loop stapled to the perch pulled free of some of its staples, and then the adhesive pulled up part of my windowsill. What did NOT happen was any separation of the hook and loop to allow for the 24 hr drying of the adhesive without the perch.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought this 2 days ago and it has yet to be vacant! I have 6 cats and we just purchased 2 more of these because they are such a hit! There was no screwing into the drywall or window frame and it holds all my babies...obviously not all at once, but it is double cat approved.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Will not attach correctly.

Enclosed instructions state the window sill should be at least 3 inches deep. Ours is 3 3/4 and there is no way the adhesive will lay properly with no overhang. It would have to have been at least 4 1/2 inches deep. Not sure if it's poor construction or poor design. We had to return it.

No, I do not recommend this product.
