Its broken, way too soon in my opinion. The spring or button is stuck and it barely makes any sound now. It did work great as I was teaching our puppy with it. I will try a different brand next time.

This clicker is a great value purchase. Is it comfortable to hold because of the smooth plastic and finger indentations. The Clicker creates a sharp and satisfying click when the large black button is pressed. The included wrist strap end is a scrunchy like loop at the end so that this Clicker can be attached to your wrist, this makes it easy to carry and also let go of without it dropping to the ground.

Worked out great till it broke in less then 2 weeks but I had improvements in my dog so I bought another one and it happens again it BROKE I waisted my money .

So although this is marketed as a dog clicker you can still use it with your cat if you want to help bad behavior, tricks, harness and leash training. It works well with my kitty it took her a long time to get rersults, but with just using her favorite kibble as treats she associated the two together as positive reinforcement.

I just bought this and my dogs (small breeds) are terrified of the sound. Going to return it for a softer clock. Hope that’s better.

Once you use this to train your dog, do you have to use it every time you are commanding something to your dog?

No, the reinforcement provided by the clicker can be replaced with praise and pets and the occasional treat. You want to do this slowly over time and if your dog stops doing the training, you would have to go back to using it full time again. You can learn more about this topic if you Google "schedules of reinforcement". You could start with rewarding with the clicker & treat every other time instead of every time. Then maybe every 3 times. Etc. Until eventually no clicker, but still the occasional treat for doing the right thing.

If you train the dog correctly then yes! The best way to do this is wait patiently and click the instant your dog stops barking for even a split second and reward with a treat. Continue to do this and your dog will realize it gets rewarded when it does not bark and should slowly stop barking all the time. Make sure your dog is used to the clicker though and that it associates it with being rewarded instead of being scared of it.
