Horrible engineered electronic design! Problem is when the electrical contact board under the reservoir gets any moisture (and it will) the contacts will corrode and the little pins fall out and fountain fails to turn on. Mine only lasted 2 months so I figured it was my fault for not making sure contacts were dry. On the 2nd one I bought I wanted to be smarter so when finished cleaning, I would wipe down the metal contacts and apply a small amount of Teflon grease (used safely for swimming pool gaskets) and that seemed like it was working ok until several months later when it did not. Even with care and knowledge of the reason for failure on my first one, the contacts once again became corroded again and the fountain stopped working. The other bad thing is that the filters are pretty expensive and don't last as long as expected.

I bought this about a month ago and it first I love it. But then it got loud. So I deep cleaned it and changed the filter. It was loud again within a day. If I change the filter it goes back to being silent for about a day before it's loud again. It's also difficult to clean and gets slimey a day after cleaning it. And I only have one cat. Iliterally went through three filters in one month trying to keep it clean. The plastic also collects bacteria and, even after cleaning almost every day and using filtered water, gave my cat horrible acne. She had a plastic water bowl and even that wasn't nearly as bad. Don't waste your money on an expensive piece of garbage. Get a metal fountain from a different retailer for half the price.

I've had this cat water fountain for a year now and never had any problems with it. My cat loves it! I clean it every time I refill it and change the filter whenever I notice the flow getting slow. Since my cat likes it, I plan to buy another one to have as a backup.

This product stinks. It does not live up to the hype and a total waste of money

I am having heart palpitations trying to get this malfunctioning thing to work. It won’t work. It keeps giving me a red light. I’m trying to make it blue light and stream water. Where is the manual? Why is there no PDF manual available to download anywhere? I’ve had this thimg less than a month. I’m too broke to be wasting this kind of money. I just want my cat to be able to enjoy water! Now he’s gonna get dehydrated and I’m gonna have an anxiety attack! Why is this fountain so terrible! Why is it so hard to assemble and dis-assemble! The cheap stupid ones from Walmart are better! I thought I was upgrading with self-cleaning! But I was just at work for 12 hours now this fountain won’t do its one job and provide for my cat! Why is it so terrible terrible terrible!!!!!! Google just asked me if it gave me good search results trying to look for the manual. I saw no manual!!! Just this page where THERE SHOULD BE A PDF SOMEWHERE!!!!! I am raging!!!!! I am so stressed!! I’m going to have a breakdown!!! I just want my cat to be able to be hydrated!!! I’m too disabled to be tinkering with these stupid things all day!!!! I just want to be able to provide for him!!! But this fountain is ruining my life!!!

I bought this yesterday, and I wake up to thirsty cats because it stopped working. I checked to make sure everything was in good shape and where it should be, I followed troubleshooting instructions, and still no luck. I am returning it today. It looked like such a good idea too. I bought it in store without checking these reviews :(. Very angry!!

terrible terrible TERRIBLE. The only thing worse than the fountain is the customer service.

I bought this product and it work for 2 months and then quit and Petco wouldn’t do anything about it. Then I read reviews and not one good one so why are they even selling them?
