The clip rusted out badly in less than two months, and I live in San Diego where it hardly rains or has moisture. Why make an outdoor product that can't handle minimal moisture and rust this badly???

No, I do not recommend this product.

Why can't this cable be used for walking the dog?

  1. Hi Brian W429, It is not designed for walking dogs. The length of 15 feet itself is not safe. Thanks,
