The back of my pet food says the weight in grams per cup of food. I notice when I weigh the food for 1/3 cup it only fills the measuring cup about 3/4 full. Is this normal? also do you know if pet food companies measure the calories per cup based on weighed grams of food or just by standard 8 oz. measuring cups? Thanks!
I feed them in separate bowls on each side of the fireplace. They are grazers eat some leave etc. I put morning portion in their bowl and then later if empty evenings. I’d like to them to eat all their dry food in two meals and finish in a timely manner. How to train them to do this without making them get too skinny? And how many cups should I feed them? Our puppy is 7 months old and eating 4 cups of food a day should get more food. Because on the hills science diet bag it says 6 cups. He is 65 lbs.
I have noticed that my 2 cats are not completing their dry food bowls as quickly as they used to, a whole day might pass without them completing their first dry food scoop. They do enjoy their wet food as always though. What can I do to make sure that they eat their dry food (which I prefer over wet food) and make sure that they are not underfed? This is Kyro, my 1st dog I've had for 7 months. In 7 months he went from 75lbs to 85. Was feeding 2 cups twice daily of "Diamond All Natural Beef Meal & Rice" with piece of Roast Beef with a teaspoon of some kind of gravy & 1 Milkbone, 1 bully stick, 2 Grain fee treats daily. I cut back to 1 cup with Roast beef twice daily. I don't want to starve him but I want to keep his defined stomach. He won't eat unless the Roast beef & gravy is in his food. Bag of food says 4 cups daily. Any suggestions?
Bernie has gained 8 #s since we rescued him on11/15/18. We feed him 1c 2xs a day of Whole Hearted Chicken n Pea kibbles mixed w/2 tsps cottage cheese.
