What is the best dog bowl material that is non toxic, going to stay clean, not get a film at the bottom and not harbor bacteria?
How can I stop the bottom of my dogs water bowl from getting slimy? I clean his bowls once a week and change his water daily but it still happens. Also, how much water should a 16lb dog be drinking daily? Thanks!
I just bought my dog a new food bowl. this is one is elevated since she is getting taller and itās the perfect height for her . But sheās gone over to the bowl a few times since itās her feeding time and she keeps prancing and whimpering really loud at the bowl.
Hi! I am a college student working on a "smart" dog food bowl. Our project aims to address epidemic of dog obesity, as 56% of dogs are overweight; this statistic indicates that there is room in the market for a food monitoring solution that would improve pet health in the long-run. The bowl would come equipped with a scale/sensor connected to an application that recommends servings. Do you think both water and food should be weighed? Or just food? Is there a value in weighing water like food?
So my puppy River loves to stand in her water bowl when she drinks and also loves to purposely dump it over. We have a very large water bowl because we have four dogs so when she knocks it over it basically floods my kitchen. What can I do or use to keep her from standing in or knocking her water bowl over?
I just got this dog and am a little rusty on dog ownership I've been giving her about 2 cups of dry dog food twice a day. Is that enough or too much? should I just leave out a self-dispensing water container? I don't know if I should regulate her water intake.
How much water can a dog drink right after eating? My dog has about 1 cup of dry food in the morning and 1 cup of dry in the afternoon. I think she probably drank atleast a cup after eating. Is that too much? Would that cause bloat?
Should I purchase a water fountain for my dog? She does drink on her own several times a day. But that sounds like a good idea. Does it really encourage them to drink more water? Is it easy to clean? I currently like to wash my dogs water bowl daily with warm water and soap. Would this be doable with a water fountain? thanks!
My 4 month old puppy is being treated for Giardia. He is eating fine but stopped drinking from his water bowl. I used another bowl and he drank from it once or twice last night, but this AM he sniffs around the bowl, the bowl & water but wonāt drink. I put some chicken broth in the water which worked at first but heās back to nit drinking again. I have 2 bowls set out for him - one metal and one ceramic. How can I get him back to drinking? Iāve been using filtered water & tried bottled water.
Does it matter if my dogās water bowl isnāt right next to his food bowl?
My 3 year old neutered great Dane doesn't know when to stop eating or drinking. He got into a bag of food a while ago and he was so fat he looked pregnant. We took him to get treated to reduce chance of bloat. With the hot weather I wanted to put a water dispensing bowl for him and my labrador. I'm concerned that he'd drink all the water. Is there something I can do to teach him not to do that. He's been this way since a puppy. He eats and drinks away from the others.
My 11.5 pound poochon may have eaten a quarter size of crayola air dry clay. I found some on the fur around his mouth but i'm not sure he actually ingested it. He hasn't vomited but is drinking a lot of water.
