Great Hidden Benefit
We have a new big dog, and I always had upright food/water dishes. When we bought this one, we decided to set it on our back porch (San Diego is a tropical paradise). I found that the plastic tray the bowls sit in easily holds a days worth my WATER which keeps the ANTS AWAY.

The listed height is 13.75"--I am wondering if this is the feeding height, or the total height with the lip included? I would like to know if the feeding height is right for my old arthritic dog.
- It’s 13.75” from floor to back of feeder but in the front from floor to top of bowls is 12.” I have a two year old lab who measured approximately 17” from floor to her mouth and this height is perfect for her.
