To begin with, the instructions are poor. The diagram does not match the product. The written instructions consist of just 3 sentences. Installing the harness is confusing. In my first attempt, I actually had it upside down. It was only by consulting the photos on this Petco page that I verified the correct orientation. This harness is next to useless, given that it slips over the dog's head when you pull forward with any amount of strength, such as when the dog slows down while you're crossing the street. Twice already I've looked around to find the harness lying on the ground. Fortunately, my dog did not run away. The only solution is to tighten the straps around the dog's chest, which contradicts the instructions to allow two fingers to fit between the harness and the dog. Generally, you can't pull directly from the front, you need to attach the leash to the top D-ring and give some lift as you pull forward, so the leash is at a 45 degree angle. Forget the front D-ring, since pulling from that spot will result in the harness slipping off of your dog.

This harness is high quality. It has just enough padding and width for the chest. A high range of adjustability. I like the loop to hold the harness on the back incase you need to keep your pup close. The large is too big for my small to medium dogs and I could not find anyone with a large dog to try it on for the review so I just put it on my small/medium size dog to show the product off.

It's a simple harness and easy to put on. It's durable and easy to use. It fits my dog perfectly. It's good for small to medium size dogs. The material is also good quality and long lasting. Definitely a good purchase!

Construction and function look great. There was just no way this was fitting on our German Shepherd despite the measurements on the package saying it should fit her. Deep chest breeds will most likely need to size up even if they should be within the range listed.
