Feather Dusters aren't technically a coral, but they are sessile (stuck in one spot), filter-feeding, beautiful and hardy. They are appealing to hobbyists due to their unique structure and pink fan-like cilia. When stressed or frightened, the Feather Duster will retract into its tube for protection. The Pink Dwarf Feather Duster has a small size, making them ideal for smaller aquariums. Like any invert, they need higher salinity than fish, and they don't tolerate copper at all. Most aquarists should have no issue keeping them alive without extra attention, as feathers will usually get enough food from fish waste and fine food particles. Be sure to add them to well-established aquariums. For best health and growth, weekly feedings are recommended of tiny food like zooplankton. They will sometimes leave their tube for a better location with a stronger current. They will build a transparent tube in a few hours then coat it with detritus and sand.

ACCLIMATION: Avoid exposing new aquatic life to bright lights after opening the box. Turn off aquarium lights prior to floating aquatic life. Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. A bacteria booster addition can assist with the addition of new aquatic life. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe for the addition of new aquatic life. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried and frozen foods, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller aquariums.
If we need to contact you for any reason about your order, shipping of your package may be affected. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order summary. Orders are subject to verification of payment information by phone or email. We ship for arrival to the customer Tuesday through Friday and Saturday for an extra charge where available.

My 10yr. old cat vomited a few times over several hours. The last time was mostly flem and this worm. I put it under a magnifier and took this picture with my phone. Could you please tell me what it could be? Thank you, Linda
What kind of worms are these?
My lovebird, Clover, seems to have what I speculate to be pbfd. The breeder I got him from seemed a bit sketchy about his feathers, it's also noteworthy that this was the last lovebird in stock. I only took one photo because Clover looks like he's ready to sleep, but I think it shows a lot with his droppings behind him. I'm planning on getting him DNA tested but for now, I want to see what a professional thinks.
