The Dwarf Honey Sunset Gourami is very popular due to their unusual body shape and peaceful temperament. They are a Labyrinth Fish and must have access to the surface of the tank to breathe. This gourami uses this specialized organ to breath in poorly oxygenated waters in the wild. They have a square shaped, thin, compressed body and are characterized by two long thread-like pelvic fins. This gourami has a small adult size, so they are ideal for smaller aquariums. Gouramis are a great recommendation for beginner hobbyists due to their hardiness and ease in care. They prefer planted aquariums and peaceful tank mates. The Dwarf Honey Sunset Gourami is an omnivore that requires foods that are meat and algae based.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.

Hi, I just got a fish from a friend and I don’t rlly know anything about that fish, it’s rlly small(about 4cm) and I want to know the breed of the fish and how to take care of it. Thanks you
I have one fish a dwarf gourami, one small aquatic frog, and two pelcos. My dwarf gourami is missing almost all of his upper lip it started out with a small cut and now most of it is gone, he has been eating fine and moving around fine and acts perfectly normal. Then I come home today and see a fairly big bump under his eye. I have no idea what’s happening to him there’s no other fish for him to fight so I’m not sure how he’s hurting himself and I’m scared now for him with that big bump.
We recently bought a Betta from a chain store pet shop. He is currently in a 10 gallon tank with a heater. He’s been eating and swimming around, acting fine. The first day we had him I noticed this bump. (Didn’t notice in the petstore but hard to see in those cups they keep them in) Here’s a side shot. Looks like one tiny fluid filled bump, size of a scale. Any ideas?
How much is a dwarf hamster?
I have a female betta wh seems quite passive, she is in a 3 gal tank and I wanted to add a tank mate since I am still new with fish and I read that african dwarf frogs are good starting pets, would I be able to keep the frog in the same tank without any trouble and would they be a good starting amphibian?
Hey, I just got a new hamster from a small pet shop and they didn’t tell me what type of hamster he is. I know it’s a dwarf but what type? I attached some pictures of him below. Hope you can help! Thanks for your help
