The Dwarf Gourami is very popular due to their unusual body shape and peaceful temperament. They are a Labyrinth Fish and must have access to the surface of the tank to breathe. This gourami uses this specialized organ to breath in poorly oxygenated waters in the wild. They have a square shaped, thin, compressed body and are characterized by two long thread-like pelvic fins. Males have a pointed dorsal fin with a vibrant orange coloration. Females have a more rounded dorsal fin with a more blueish gray coloration. This gourami has a small adult size, so they are ideal for smaller aquariums. Gouramis are a great recommendation for beginner hobbyists due to their hardiness and ease in care. They prefer planted aquariums and peaceful tank mates. The Dwarf Gourami is an omnivore that requires foods that are meat and algae based.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.

My Powder Blue Dwarf Gourami, Is twiching and i really don't know what to do i think its ammonia.
My male guppy looks bloated what do I do he's not as energetic.
We recently bought a Betta from a chain store pet shop. He is currently in a 10 gallon tank with a heater. He’s been eating and swimming around, acting fine. The first day we had him I noticed this bump. (Didn’t notice in the petstore but hard to see in those cups they keep them in) Here’s a side shot. Looks like one tiny fluid filled bump, size of a scale. Any ideas?
My male Betta fish isn’t moving
I have two male fish guppies. One of them seems to have like a wired black spot on its belly (in the middle of its body). Is this normal? Could it be a disease? Any cure to this? I’m worried. Also it has a little bit of white on its tail :(
It seems like my male guppy is being aggressive towards my red platy. At times the guppy goes and begins to bother the platy, by picking at him. What can I do?
What type of fish can I keep with my adult male betta fish, he is in a 3 gallon tank.
what kind of fish are these? and would they be good with a male betta
Can I put another type of fish with my male betta?
My betta is a baby boy (4monthold) When I first got him he was red with white. 2 months ago his growing fins began becoming blue. Abt 3 weeks ago I see that he began losing his color a bit& began becoming kind of transparent, so I took the water to get checked& the water was good but the store couldnt check for ammonia cause they had ran out of that test(water has conditioner). Last night I notice that he started getting a shiny silver color on 1side of mouth& in gill. But he is acting normal
Which category male flower fish add with couple of yellow blood parrot fish(male and female both are) in a (42L×7w×18h)inch water tank ? Can u guide to me this successful breeding process ? In a currently I have only two yellow parrot fish.
I recently observed that my new Betta's rear end is swollen, the swelling is more prominent on left but is visible from both sides. Could this be a serious problem?
