The Duboisi Cichlid is a visually striking African cichlid known for its dramatic color transformation. Juveniles display a jet-black body covered in white or blue spots, while adults develop a bold blue-black hue with a vivid yellow or white band behind the head-making them a standout in any Lake Tanganyika aquarium. Originating from the rocky shores of Lake Tanganyika, Duboisi Cichlids thrive in aquariums of at least 55 gallons with plenty of rockwork and hiding spots to help manage territorial behavior. Though more peaceful than other Tropheus species, they do best in groups of 8 or more to reduce aggression and encourage natural social dynamics. Herbivorous by nature, they require a diet high in spirulina and algae-based foods, with occasional blanched vegetables. Consistent water quality and moderate care are key to their health and vibrant coloration. Ideal for intermediate to advanced hobbyists, this Cichlid brings both beauty and dynamic group behavior to African cichlid tanks.

Eating well but when it comes out to swim the other parrot fish keeps pinching it and doesn't allow to it to move around in the tank. I don't understand the problem. Please suggest what to do. Also the color of the fish is bit dull as compared to other one.
My pet pike cichlid is not eating and is always staying in one corner of the tank. It is in a 20 gallon with 2 convict cichlids, 2 firemouth cichlids, 1 Oscar, and two plecos. My ammonia is 0, nitrate 0 and ph is 6.5. Water is a little tinted because of the driftwood.

Currenly i have two African Cichlids, specifically tigar oscar cichlids. They are in a large tank, about 75 gallons, with a algae eating plako. They are about 5 to 6 inches long. Im curious to know if i could move my African sideneck turtle into the tank with them. She is young. But ive noticed tha she doesnt swim extremely well so i think it might be a bad idea. Thoughts?
