Hey there! I've got a large Ragdoll (we think) cat that is roughly 10 years old who stopped using his litterbox for anything other than urine starting about 6 weeks ago. Always at night, when we're asleep, usually every 2-4 days, he goes on a binge poop, dropping of "presents" (ranging from hard/dry to wet/soft) on our front porch mat, my office rug, the hardwood floors along a wall, by the litterbox, on the rug by his feeder. No changes to clean litter situation or diet in over a year.
My cat just had surgery on his back on his leg, my question is after he uses the bathroom what should I use to clean up anything from getting into it?
Have 2 male 4-month old brothers (orange tabby's. The area by their cat tree is always damp (believe they are peeing or spraying) yet they do use litter boxes. 1 litter box near the tree and 1 in our hall bath. Both cleaned regularly throughout the day. I'm baffled why the continued wetting the carpet. Also what is the best odor/stain eliminator product. We do have an 11 y.o. dog but they seem to get along okay. Thank you!
I have 3 cats. 2 are 15 yes old. The other is 7 yr old. My older cats are peeing behind the couch. I have used Miracle products, scrubbed and put soda down then use brush to work soda in. Even with this method they still go behind the coach. I clean their litter boxes 2 times s day. How can I keep my older cats from peeing on the carpet?
My cat, cocoa, won't stop peeing outside of the litterbox (even though I clean twice a day) and its gotten to the point where I will have to get rid of him. Please help
Hi, My older cat Ricky is almost 18 years old. Over a year ago he was diagnosed with Pancreatitis. He has lost weight because he is always going to the litter box. so he has diahrea always and the thing is he does a lot outside the litter box. He goes towards litter box in a storage room and as soon as he gets close he like does a fart and squirts on the floor. Sometimes messier than others. He will go in litter box and go too.Its weird. So he has been on Metronidazole for almost 2 weeks again al
My cat has started urinating on a rug in the living room. Its always in the same spot and once a day. It started in the morning, and now it's in the evening just before I get home from work. I moved her litter box about 10ft from where she is urinating. I clean it up as soon as I find it, using pet mess cleaners. I am using puppy pads under the rug to minimize the mess. I don't think it's a bladder infection as she still uses the litter box, and its only once per day.
My cat for bout a week has been urinating and pooping on our older basement couch....Ive gone ahead and cleaned his box right out put new litter n he still went on the couch...so ive now put his box next to couch...im pretty frustrated n emotional cause if he continues ill have no choice to put him down or he'll ruin my home with his fecies...Any help would be accepted TIA!
I just adopted mittens from my local shelter on June 8. When I brought him home he was very scared. Now he has settled in our home. I found out that mittens doesn’t like scented litter and was refusing to use the litter box. So I bought him arm and hammer unscented litter. I put him in the litter box and he sniffed it and jumped out. What should I do now? He has been going potty in the shower, should I put the litter box in the shower?
Rash on the outside of my cats ear
I have a 16yrd male cat that has started peeing in things beside his litterbox. He peed in my clothes basket & it was a lil darker & looked crystallized. He would never use litter in a box I used newspaper or papertowels. Is there anything I can do to help him? He has been neutered also. He is my baby & this has me stressed out...please help. Thanks Becky South
my cat started doing his business just next to his litter box. The box is always clean as i clean it everytime he goes, i've changed litters two times now, bought a bigger box as well. He does use his box when I'm in the room, but when I leave he does it outside. Do you think it might be a medical issue?
