I read a review that stated that the shrimp in the ingredients was replaced with alfalfa and checked for myself. That is correct. I wouldn’t have purchased it if I knew ahead of time.

No, I do not recommend this product.

The ingredients listed on the website are not the same as the ingredients listed on the bag. The third ingredient "Shrimp Meal" has been replaced with Alfalfa Meal. Shrimp Meal helps add color to your fish. Who knows what Alfalfa Meal does. I purchased this food last year due to the excellent ingredients and was very happy with it. I would not have purchased it again this year had I known that they took out the shrimp meal. Unfortunately, I purchased 240 lbs.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I have fed my Koi’s t try his food since I started my Koi pond. I acquired most of my koi’s when they were only an inch or two. Presently I have 13 fish which range from 18” to over 26” in length. Being in Florida we pretty much have consisten temperatures throughout the year, so there is no need to alter foods.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I've used this food for many years, long before F&S was acquired by Petco. It remains one of the best values for quality koi food on the market. For instance, this year's fry went from 1/8" to 4" in five weeks, with thick, robust bodies. The colors already starting to show are clear and bright. Other foods I've experimented simply do not show these results. Quality ingredients are used, and so long as you don't grossly overfeed, no clouding or oily layer on the water's surface. Not just for fry, large fish love it as well. When some big-name koi foods get ignored, this is taken readily by all. Even better deal when you get it on the subscription plan; just figure out how often you need to receive it. BTW, it's actually cheaper, and fresher, to have the 20lb bags delivered than to order 40lbs at a time. Weird.

Yes, I recommend this product.

    Question about Koi food

    1. I've gotten boxes from F&S with Aquatic Nutrition Inc. on the box. (I order 40 pounds at a time) . There is a website for them. They make Blackwater fish food as well. It's excellent food.
