How do you mess up a great product? The motor is no longer stationary, so aligning with the filter is a crapshoot. The bowl must be shallower than the plastic version, because the water splashes all over the floor. The plastic locking mechanisms on the sides feel Like they will snap in half at the slightest provacstiom. And the stainless is LOUD.

The cats love it - - too much. For some reason, they like to butt it with their heads, knocking the center assembly off the pump. The plastic retainer clips will do the job, but they (the ones I've had, anyway) are not properly molded, so that putting them on or removing them breaks them. This is something that needs to be addressed. Otherwise, a good product.

I’ve had my PetSafe Drinkwell 360 for approximately 6 months, my first water fountain purchased after researching water fountains for my new cat. The fountain works well, and my cat definitely drinks enough water. BUT, I have to completely dismantle and thoroughly clean the fountain parts every 2 or 3 days, as the water becomes cloudy and foamy. My cat is an indoor cat, and is not tracking dirt into his water bowl. I have tried fixing this problem by replacing the charcoal filters biweekly, and even weekly, I wash all the parts thoroughly with either soapy water, and/or vinegar and water, rinsing repeatedly to eliminate any residue - and still the water turns cloudy and foamy after 2 days. I have just removed the filter altogether, and after 2 days, the water is still clear and not foamy. I will continue to use without the filters.

Typically, foamy/cloudy water is either related to saliva residue within the pump, the use of soap during cleaning, or both. We would strongly recommend fully disassembling both the fountain and pump, and scrubbing the fountain parts and all four parts of the disassembled pump under warm water with no soap. We've been using this fountain for about 11 months. It's doing exactly what we bought it for, encouraging our cats to drink more water! Especially our 20 year old. We have a Reverse Osmosis water system, and don't use the charcoal insert. We change the water once a day. While the cats are drinking much more water, there's no free lunches in that this needs more maintenance than a plain water bowl. We've had to disassemble and clean it about every 10 days on average. It's not difficult, but does take patience. The parts are durable, but the first retainer clap broke last week, and Pet Safe is sending a free clip under the warranty. Great company! Gotta be careful with those things.. lol Great Product, really!

I bought this fountain a couple years ago. Two cats were afraid, but got over, one wasn't bothered by it, and another fell in love. I have no regrets buying. However, in the last year, a few of the plastic parts have been starting to break. I'd love to replace them without buying an entirely new fountain. The only ones needing replacing are the anchors for the fountain attachment covering the pump and the piece that the water comes out of and can adjust the flow. Because these are breaking, it's making it hard to keep the fountain from coming undone, especially when my oldest cat decides to splash or crash into the fountain when he charges in for a drink.

This is so awkward to use, you can barely match up the pressurized water with the base of the filter, the clips are too weird and stiff to even use. You can never tell if water is low or high. I've used their fountains for 20 years and this one is terrible.

We are using the Stainless Steel Drinkwell 360 for about 3 months and cleaning it every week and changing filter every other week. A day after the last cleaning we noticed clear bubbles in the bowl on the water surface. Is this normal? How can we fix?

I need to buy a new pump this one has stopped working i have tried everything to get it to work I take it apart and clean it daily and fill with fresh water so I know it doesn't need to be cleaned that its definitely pump.
