The Male Dragonscale Betta is a stunning variety known for its striking, armor-like iridescent scales that resemble dragon plating. These scales typically appear in vibrant hues such as metallic green, copper, turquoise, or silver, laid over darker base colors like black, red, or blue. Their dramatic appearance and bold personality make them a showpiece fish for any aquarium. Though delicate-looking, they are hardy and intelligent, thriving with proper care in a well-maintained aquarium. A varied diet of high-quality Betta pellets, frozen or live foods such as Bloodworms, Brine shrimp, and Daphnia is ideal for their continued health. A gentle filter is recommended and be sure to prevent strong currents for this Betta. With proper care, the Male Dragonscale Betta can live 2-4 years, serving as a stunning and mesmerizing aquatic pet.

ACCLIMATION: Allow the sealed bag with your new fish to float in your aquarium for at least 15 minutes (but no longer than one hour) to ensure the water in the bag matches the temperature in your aquarium. For new aquariums, adding new fish slowly helps to properly develop the nitrogen cycle, which creates a safe environment for your aquatic pets. A bacteria booster may also help develop a new aquarium for your new fish. Petco offers free water testing in store to determine if your water is safe. DIET: A well-balanced diet consists of a variety of flakes, pellets, freeze-dried, and frozen food, depending on the species. FEEDING: Feed sparingly and no more than fish can eat in 1-2 minutes. Overfeeding can quickly foul the water, especially in smaller, unfiltered aquariums.
If we need to contact you for any reason about your order, shipping of your package may be affected. Once your order is placed, you will receive a confirmation email with your order summary. Orders are subject to verification of payment information by phone or email.

Chinese Water Dragon has brown/black spots?
I have a water dragon what do I feed him and how do I know if it is male or female
what kind of fish are these? and would they be good with a male betta
Why does my Betta fish have lines on his gills?
I am not able to ID my fish. It seems to belong to the family of snakehead bettas. But it is yellow in colour. They belly is a shimmering yellow gradually getting duller towards the tail. the tail and fins are yellow with red borders. Its eyes are blue. It seems to be enjoying staying at the top most of the time. Its not aggressive. Please help me ID my fish
My male Crowntail Betta fish is acting very lethargic, he stays at the bottom of the tank and only coming up for air, barely eats, his stomach looks hollow, and the scales along his back are raised. He has been this way for a few weeks but isn't getting better. I change his water weekly, and he lives in an environment where his is not caused stress.
Betta fish has ick near its eye
My male Betta fish isn’t moving
My betta is a baby boy (4monthold) When I first got him he was red with white. 2 months ago his growing fins began becoming blue. Abt 3 weeks ago I see that he began losing his color a bit& began becoming kind of transparent, so I took the water to get checked& the water was good but the store couldnt check for ammonia cause they had ran out of that test(water has conditioner). Last night I notice that he started getting a shiny silver color on 1side of mouth& in gill. But he is acting normal
We recently bought a Betta from a chain store pet shop. He is currently in a 10 gallon tank with a heater. He’s been eating and swimming around, acting fine. The first day we had him I noticed this bump. (Didn’t notice in the petstore but hard to see in those cups they keep them in) Here’s a side shot. Looks like one tiny fluid filled bump, size of a scale. Any ideas?
