Great litter for cats with respiratory issues

I have a senior cat who's very picky with litter. I have to be particular with what she uses because of her respiratory issues and fhv. I was using paper pellets for a while and my cat was ok with it but started pooping outside the box in defiance. Then I started finding plastic in the PAPER litter. I noticed the litter started crumbling and causing her issues to flair up, runny eyes, clumping and losing fur, scratching her ears etc. I figured the litter was an issue since her food isnt causing any problems and shes been on it for a while now. After a bunch of research I decided to try Dr Elseys and I AM SO GLAD I DID! My cat is now using the litterbox for both, there's no smell AT ALL and no tracking. I suggest getting a shallower litterbox or a low open front so it's easier for cats to get out of instead of jumping and getting the litter everywhere. This is the best litter I've ever gotten for any of my cats and especially my 11 year old!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Regu Elsey’s is the only letter that doesn’t give my cat respiratory issues. I tried this one thinking it might even be better, but it gave her respiratory issues so I went back to the regular. I felt like it had a lot more dust.

No, I do not recommend this product.

VERY DUSTY!!

The name of this cat litter is misleading. Very disappointed in how dusty this cat litter is. The other reviews were correct about how much dust this litter creates. It was unbelievable how dusty it was when scooping it twice a day, and adding it to the litter box. My cat has an intrathoracic tumor which puts pressure against her lungs and causes coughing and some breathing issues. I wanted dust-free or low dust cat litter that would reduce the amount of dust she had to breathe in. Bought this thinking the "Respiratory Relief" would be what she needed. WRONG!!!! Not to mention it's very expensive. I tried calling the phone number on the box 3 times, and left a voice message, but never got a call back from the Dr. Elsey company.

No, I do not recommend this product.

bought it for my cat with allergies since this product LIES and says "respiratory relief." Upon pouring it, i only filled the litterbox 1/5 but stopped b/c the plume of dust engulfed me and everything. it's been some time and the whole apt is still dusty. NO ONE has even used the box yet and my whole place smells like cat litter. don't try to save money and get this! going back to smartlitter and cedarific. want a refund!!

No, I do not recommend this product.

What is the difference between this litter and Dr. Elsey's Ultra Clumping (the one with the blue color label)?

Does this litter have a smaller grain to it - like sand- or more course like other litters?

    1. A little more coarse, but I think not as coarse as something like Swheat Scoop. Our cat likes it.
