Quality issues?! BEWARE

Good before but has now given my dog serious GI issues. We had no problem with these previously but I bought a new 1.5lb bag recently and I don’t know if they changed the recipe or are having product quality issues, but both times I gave my 75lb shepherd one of these out of the new bag he’s had really bad diarrhea like it’s food poisoning. This second bout has lasted 3 days now and I’m taking him to the vet today. When I brought these back to return them, one of the Petco cashiers said they had given her dog the runs recently as well. Best Buy date was later 2025 so definitely weren’t expired.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I bought two bags of these about two months ago for my almost 14-year-old husky. He loves the taste and I noticed an improvement in his mobility within a week of him getting two strips a day. I'm really pleased that he seems in less pain and is more able to get up and down thanks to this product.

My Fiona loves this. It’s her treat for eating her dinner. She will gobble her dinner then come to me asking for her treat! I like that it’s chewy so it takes her a while to savor it instead of gobbling it down and wanting more. I have to limit her treats since she puts on weight easily. And because she is a senior dog, this hip and joint recipe aids in her daily walks. Being a very picky eater, I was happily surprised that she really loves the taste of Dogswell Hip & Joint Chicken treats.

How much glucosamine and chondroitin are in each piece of these. I dont see that info anywhere. thanks

    Hi unnecessary1, Each piece of Dogswell Hip & Joint Chicken Jerky (regular size, not Mini Jerky) contains a maximum of approximately 22.5 mg/kg of glucosamine and 13.5 mg/kg of chondroitin. This is calculated based on the weight of the piece, which will fluctuate slightly with each batch and for each product so we would have to calculate each treat independently. In addition, the piece weight might be slightly different by formula, so the answer above is not necessarily accurate for each product. Thanks

Why are they adding New Zealand mussels to the formula? What is the benefit? How do I know if my dog is allergic to seafood? My dog loved these treats! Why the change?

    Hi Wesfish, The vendor chose to add New Zealand Green Mussels because they are full of omega 3 fatty acids, a good source Vitamin B12 and minerals, including selenium, iron, iodine, magnesium and calcium. New Zealand Green Mussels can be found in many natural pet food products as a natural anti-inflammatory. We advise that you consult your vet regarding this. Thanks,
