We bought this & the pizza slice for our lab. Just a 1/2 teaspoon sprinkled in his food mellowed him out for hours. It worked great. On the packaging for the toy, it says 1/4 teaspoon for under 20 pounds. 20 - 50 pounds is 1/2 teaspoon & over 50 pounds, serving size is 1 teaspoon. Our lab is around 75 to 80 pounds, 8 yrs old & just 1/2 tsp worked well for him. We didn't put any in the toy yet, as we have small dogs that we didn't want to dose with it that love to steal his toys. I have read on other reviews elsewhere that giving too much of this can cause dogs to be hyper & anxious. So I think the trick is using just enough to calm them & not overstimulate them. This product does say it does not work on all dogs.

I ordered this for my 9 months old Rottweiler and when I say it had no effect whatsoever on him I was wowed. It works for some but my pup it didn’t. I returned the product.
