Put water in trough for your dog to drink. Ensure your dog has clean water available at all times. Put slow feeder in bowl. Spread food throughout slow feeder. Just recently looked at the feeding guide on the side of my dogs science diet. It says for 20 pound dog to feed them 1 1/2 cup a day. I was shocked on how little that looks like. Oliver is about 16-17 pounds. I feed him twice a day should I be doing 3/4 cup in morning and night. When I look at the 1/4 and fill it three times it looks like very little, but then again he is a little guy. And I do notice if I put too much food he doesn't eat it all. Is this 1 cup normal or average for small dogs?
